I bought the book "I Like You" that one of the bees used for her vows and put pictures with us in the pages. :D
He's also getting a jetboil stove he's (okay we've) been wanting for a while.
I got him a card (which he's already gotten) and I'll probably sneak a few love notes into his coat, next to his phone, and in his lunch so he'll be reminded of me during the day.
i bought him the just dance wii game (we just got a wii), and we have our food tasting, which i'm super excited about. it will be our 2 weeks till our wedding date! he has a surprise for me...
Nothing...I'm not a huge fan of valentines day. But...our 5 year anniversary is the weekend after Valentines day and we are going to go to "Shanghai Bistro"...a local sushi restaurant (and the place where my FI popped the question).
I'm just making his favorite supper for him since I'm short on money. My birthday is on Friday so V-day is just one of those blah days for me.
ooo FI def screwed up VDAY last year so he owed me and totally did a great job! We're going to Foxwoods MGM Casino (in CT) to see Jagged Edge FRONT ROW!!! They're one of my fave R&B groups (we're also walking into the Let's Get Married Remix by them for the reception!) and we're staying in Mystic where we go often for our anniversary and took our e-shots there too! Very excited!
Ooo and Saturday we're going on a triple date to see "Valentine's Day" and then after the movie going with the 2 girls (MOH and BM) to get do their dress fitting! :)
Oh fun!! I'm not too large on cash either, but I'm thinking of getting him a heart-shaped pizza. :) Some places like Domino's do that! You just have to ask the manager specially. :)
We're both trying to save money, so we decided not to buy each other gifts, but make them instead. I'm baking him a cake and making him a special dinner! :-)
Going to try on wedding dresses! He gets the afternoon off lol!
Last month, I booked a VDay dinner at a place we have never tried. We plan on going there, but as of right now I am dying of a really bad cold...so if I am not better, we probably will stay home. Lame. :(
Sitting by the computer and planning our Ireland honeymoon, and convincing him this is very romantic. Cause otherwise it'll never get done! Maybe also bring him a beer or two to motivate as well
I wish we could start a new tradition....good idea. Although it's our fifth Valentine's day together, it's our first as an engaged couple.
@ Gemstone: It's ours too :) We're budgeting for the wedding though, so nothing big. I just got done baking him some mini white chocolate cheesecakes! We're celebrating tomorrow because we're going out for FMIL's Birthday Sunday evening.
Ohh... and we're going to meet a foster puppy that we are considering adopting! Cheesecakes and puppies... I think he's set!
we're ldr so we celebrated valentine's day last week while he was visiting. i gave him a card and some cookies i baked. i also sent him flowers as a surprise but they arrived pretty close to dead. good thing the company is resending a new batch though!
I don't think we're doing anything. Last weekend I found this cool collage frame and I got super excited and filled it up with pictures and ticket stubs and cards and stuff. I kept a lot of little stuff like that from when we first got together. He's already seen it. He wasn't as excited as I was and has yet to hang it up. I doubt it'll ever get hung up anywhere.
So after that rejection, I'm not sure that I'll even give him his other present. I bought a book that's like 365 different positions and I have a nice piece of lingerie I was planning on bringing out for the evening but it's all up in there air at this point. He doesn't seem keen on doing anything.
We are going to go to the zoo!! (Weather permitting!)
Then later on we'll make some dinner together, play games and watch some movies!
I got him something simple... heart boxers in his favorite brand, a picture frame with our pic in it from NYE, then I'm making little mini cupcakes and putting them in a heart shaped box. It's sorta cool... they look like little chocolates!! :]
I took a lap dance/strip tease class last night at my gym so I'm giving him a little performance
well considering we are still in the middle of the bar's remodel, Jason will be working all day (until 7 or so
), and we'll have oh about 4 people (who don't speak english) in our house that night... So I don't think we'll be doing anything too romantic... But last night he said we would go out for a nice dinner and he would "make this all up to me"... lol I told him he can wait to make it all up to me once everyone is out of our house, but dinner would be fabulous.
We're just hanging out with some old friends we haven't seen in a while. Restaurant week hits Annapolis next week so we're going to pick a restaurant there and have dinner one day next week after work
FH made dinner reservations and the restaurant is a surprise. I can't wait to find out where we are going
I also bought a really cute Valentine's cake from a local bakery and got some champagne for later.
I'm making him his favorite dinner and he's making dessert. Gonna do the whole "romantic" thing with candles and all that jazz. I also made him a card and decorated a little heart-shaped box filled with candy for him just to be cute. He said he got me presents too =]. Last year we just went out to eat which was nice too since it was our first Valentines together but I'm more excited for this year.

I'm just curious! What are You doing? Anything different and unusual? Are you starting a tradition or continuing an old one?
