Milibee13:  I didnt want something that was just going to sit around and collect dust so I we are doing something like this.

Technically for bridal showers, but what the heck….

Milibee13:  It was really funny when I saw this pop up because I LITERALLY just saw it like 30 mins ago when looking for other masn jar stuff that is not the typical wedding stuff. LOL!

I kind of thought we might have 3 jars, ones with ideas for him to plan for me and me for him, then one with just regular date night ideas. Then the two of us can throw our own ideas in each others jars.

Milibee13:  Yeah, nothing wrong with the marriage advice thing, but we have both been married before, are 35 & been together for over 5 years. Not saying we know everything about marriage there is to know, but we know a lot.

Milibee13:  I am sure you will. I have been tempted to write books on weddings I have been to lately. Unfortunately those little rocks dont have much room.

We are using the traditional sign-in kind for the ceremony, and a picture frame that guests can sign for the reception.

We did anniversary wine bottles. We did a champagne for our 1 year and wine for our 5, 10, and 20 years. People signed the bottles and we plan to open them and drink them on the anniversary year on the bottle. I’d attach a picture but the new WB ate them all and I don’t have one on this computer.

Ours wasn’t exactly unique but I wanted to do something we could continue to enjoy. It is hanging in our hallway with one of our favorite wedding pics 🙂

We did the same thing as magglemay. It turned out really nicely. I like that we can have it out and it’s not in a closet somewhere.

I’m going to do a time capsule! I’m going to have several differnt prompts on note cards such as ‘wedding wishes’, ‘advice for the newlyweds’ and ‘date ideas’ etc…. And then I’m going to have a large tin for people to put them in with a note that says we won’t open it until our first anniversay.

I also have a photobooth with an attendant that eill place the photo strips in a scrapbook and have people sign it.
