I cant answer since I wont be wearing a garter. But I have never heard of anyone passing it down though.

I am having mine tossed for sure. I didnt realise it was a tradition but my fiance has 5 (some caught through ninja rolls of some sort), and he needs to pass on his garter catching genius to another now he will be married!

I am going to get a tartan one 🙂

@MrsNeutrino: that is really pretty! i dont think passing it down is strange – i wish i had something passed down to me for my wedding, even if it was a garter.

Keeping mine to wear again later!!!

What??? I like dressing up for my FI (especially when the kids aren’t around) and what better way to add to the fun than the garter I wore on our wedding day???

I want to wear mine on each anniversary as a reminder of my beautiful wedding day. I will buy custom made one from Etsy, and a cheapie one for the garter toss.

I had a tosser and a keeper garter. The tosser, of course is with the guy that caught it. The other was a surprise for Hubby, so he has it.
