Well it's been over a month for me!! I'm trying sell some decorations, my dirty dress is still hanging in the closet (no idea what's going on with that thing), and some of the decorations are hanging out around my house.

My 1st display is of my 'sign in book' and 1st dance lyric signs displayed on a shelf with my 'dust your toes' brushes for the beach wedding, my hangar for the dress photos, and my DIY veil.

I also converted my DIY beach centerpieces and DIY table runners into christmas decor for our new dinning room set. I have three of the lanterns on display.

So what have you been doing with all your wedding stuff? Post some pictures!

I have no idea!  Right now everything is still sitting in my living room.  We don't use the living room, so I keep forgetting about everything.  But this weekend, this weekend, we will have to do something about the wedding stuff b/c I want to decorate for Christmas.  Smile

I have our guest book tree framed and waiting to find the perfect place to hang it. Our sand ceremony is on the vanity in our bathroom, My bouquet is out getting preserved, my apothocary jars are still half full of  candy so once the candy is gone it will go above our cabinets in the kitchen, and the basket with our tears of joy tissues are also in our bathroom lol.

I'm selling everything I can, gifting what I can't and I didn't even think of displaying my wedding stuff like you have, great idea!

I'm still trying to dig out and organize everything. I thought about selling but I don't think I can part with anything just yet. I really need to do something with my dress too. Sigh. Maybe by January I will have sorted through everything. ::crosses fingers::

I'm trying to sell most of it. My husband was getting on me about it being around the house, so I need to get rid of it.

I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do with my dress yet, though.

I sold off most of my stuff within 2 months of the wedding. Some I sold within 3 days. I am still waiting on my professional photographs in order to sell my dress (unless someone wants to buy a lace Pronovias dress) Wink Now I see this thread, I might go and use some of the remaining stuff to decorate the house. I still have some candles and vases etc. But I did sell MOST of my stuff.

@ssparban: I love what you did with the lanterns!  That might help me justify purchasing some.

I plan on trying to sell as much of it as I can. I don't like clutter in my home, so if it's not something I can use, it's going to be given away.

I would give it all away at this point, it is in storage and takes up most of our storage space.  I would just love to give it away and have my space back for the stuff to redo our house with.

I hope to sell a lot of it or give it to friends/family, since there are a few weddings within a few months after ours. We'll have 50ish lanterns, some I'll want to keep for home decorations, but a lot of the stuff I would be just fine selling or giving away. Not sure on my dress. I'd either donate it, try to sell it, or make it knee-length and die it for a cocktail/evening dress and use the extra that I'd  cut off for ring pillows, wedding hankies, and christening outfits for future kiddos.

@Naiexoxo: Craigslist is simple and easy to list on, and it is all local so that makes it alot easier, no shipping to worry about.

@tksjewelry: Have you posted in the free listings? I bet there are some bees who are willing to pay shipping to get them from NE.

@NDBee:  I should, but since I went eclectic and nothing really matches, I don't think that anyone would really want it.  I thought about donating some things to the church so they would have some things one hand.

@tksjewelry: That's a sweet idea. Or even bringing it to the thrift store as a donation or a shelter that would need plates/glasses/decorations for their safe homes, etc.

I made sure i kept 1 favor for ourselves. The flowers we gave out to people to take home. The food was packed up and we had about a week's worth of leftovers. Other than that, our caterer provided everything else, so we didn't have much to take home.

    Let's see.

-My dirty dress is still thrown on a rocking chair in our office.  I'll get it cleaned one day.
-My centerpieces are basically useless no anyone else now.  I had a family friend make table runners out of 75 year old barn wood, and then he attached 100 year old barbed wire to them and made a brand with our initials.  We plan to hang a couple up in our home, but probably will just toss the rest of them.
-I'm trying to sell my square vases and satin sashes on Kijiji, but so far no luck.
-We had a bunch of curly willow from the big arrangements so I stuffed those into a tall vase and put a red ribbon on it for Christmas.
-We had a huge copper mailbox for our guestbook which is currently housing the sheets that our guests filled out.  I read them and stuffed them back in the mailbox which we will eventually use for something.

i sold my centerpieces within weeks of my wedding but kept one for myself - it resides on our island in our kitchen. i also kept my cake topper and it sits on the guest bathroom counter. We had boxes of favors that people forgot or didnt care to take therefore my inlaws and closest friends got a bunch of champange flutes. other than that i dont have much left over - some bride to be sashes, a car decorating kit that was never used and small things here and there most of which i plan to hold on to since i have several friends on the road to engagement.
