And about how much are you planning to spend for each bridesmaid? I’m curious because I’m in the process of picking out gifts – I was thinking of getting each of my four bridesmaids a hair clip like this one from BHLDN to wear at the wedding:
Along with a nice bottle of champagne and Coach wristlets in blue, since it’s one of the wedding colors! I’ll give them each a card as well with a personalized thank you note. Does this seem like the right amount/type of gifts? What are you getting your bridesmaids as gifts, and do you have a particular budget for bridal party gifts?

this is what I’m getting them
Mary Kay eye makeup remover
An Owl tote-bag
Mug with their first initial (we’ll be getting ready in the morning)
Cuff (I got even amounts of Merci & bonjour, so I’ll just split them)
I’ll probably also slip something to drink in there and perhaps a wrap or cardigan

I think I’m going to get them a few smaller type items like a clutch and a few staple makeup pieces, and then gift cards after that.
I don’t plan to spend a whole bunch of money since i’m paying for their dresses, shoes, jewelry, hair, makeup ect. They aren’t spending anything, but I want to get them a little something to show appreciation.

isabellej18: they are all getting make up bags with $70ish dollars worth of make up items, earrings and nail polish. So spent about $70-$90 a girl. I have 4 bridesmaids.

I’m getting my girls a 50 dollar gift certificate to MAC, I’m paying for their hair and I’m buying them this brooch to embelish their dress a little bit since it doesn’t have any beading at all. <br />The MAC Gift card is the best idea I heard so far. The girls go to MAC in the morning, buy whatever make up they want for 50 dollars, and because they spent 50 bucks, they get their make up done for free.

isabellej18: I’m also doing Coach wristlets or clutches but haven’t picked them out yet. In addition to that, I got them each a flask that I am going to fill with our drink of choice, a small bracelet with their first initial, and a nail polish set. I anticipate spending ~$150/girl which equals out to the cost of the their dresses. I also purchased their day-of earrings but that’s not part of the present.

MrsPiggles: That’s a really good idea – I’ll have to see if there’s any place that does that where we’re planning!
I think I’m going to find a simple strand of freshwater pearls as their gift. Classic, and it matches all the bitty pearls I plan on putting everywhere! Slight aquatic ecologist nerdiness took over a wee bit, haha.

I got my girls a necklace and a tote with their names. I am also into wood staining so I am making them each a jewelry box (to put the necklace in) and FI’s mom is knitting each of my girls an angora wrap for their dresses. (if its cold, you never know about August in Michigan’s UP lol)
