Today marks 39 days until the big day!! *insert squeals of delight!* So I’m trying to go through my to-do list and make sure that we are on task to get everything done before the week of the wedding and as of right now, it all seems to be coming together beautifully 🙂 One of the things that I’m trying to narrow down is what to get my 3 BM’s. I have chosen my two younger sisters and my best friend from college to stand beside me. My budget is rapidly getting tighter and tighter, but I wanted to get them something special that they will use again. I’m definitely going to get them a sweet and simple necklace, probably gold, to wear with their Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and I was also thinking about doing a monogrammed robe…of course I’ll get myself one of these also 🙂 But I thought it would make for cute pictures and it’s a thoughful gift that won’t just get tossed after the wedding.
Here’s the dress my ladies will be wearing:
The robes I’ve found on Etsy (I’m still trying to shop for better prices):
Have any of you found great deals for robes like these? I found an Etsy shop that sells 4 monogrammed robes and 4 monogrammed makeup bags for $152 for all of it. I think that’s a pretty good deal. What about the necklace? Any suggestions? I’ve been searching places like Forever21 and other similar stores that are known for their jewelry and I haven’t found the perfect one yet! Any suggestions are warmly welcomed 🙂

So far I have bought my three bridesmaids (and 1 for myself) these:
And I am planning on getting them this as well:
We’ll see where my budget is after I pruchase these things.

I’ve stood in two weddings:
Wedding 1: We all got engraved Christmas ornaments (the bride LOVES Christmas) and gift certificates for a day in the hotpool area at a local spa. The bride and maids arranged to go a few weeks after the wedding and it was an awesome day to unwind.
Wedding 2: The bride had beautiful grey shawls made for us to wear over our dresses at her outdoor wedding.
I’m allergic to almost all jewelry and my lovely friends were thoughtful enough not to give jewelry as I probably wouldn’t be able to wear it.

I’m getting my girls a satin Victorias Secret robe in their favorite color. I figured it would come in handy while getting ready 🙂
I’m also making them champagne glasses with their first initial in glitter and providing a mini bottle of champagne to go with them.

I got my girls waffle cotton robes (I guess that’s what you call the material? I will post a pic of it) for $5 each. I want their names monogrammed on them. I guess I will have to find someone locally to do it. I also got them hangers with their names personalized on them ($4 each + $4 each for S&H). I plan to add a coral bow to the hanger. I also got them lunch totes (giraffe print and pink lettering for their names) for $7.99 each + $6 each to add their names to them. I wanted to make their lunch for them the morning of the wedding. They will be spending the night with me at my parents’ house. I need to purchase their jewelry for them to wear for the wedding. I plan on letting them pick out their own accessories and me pay for it. I also was THINKING about paying for their makeup but my budget for the wedding is so tight since it’s so close! I still have the caterer and flowers to pay for!!!
For the Maid/Matron of Honor, she gets an extra gift. I plan on getting her a gift certificate for her to get a facial. I am also purchasing this for my mom and Step-mom in law, who I am very close with.
This is the material for the robes:

@Ixtlali: I saw those robes on Etsy too – sooo cute!!
@lindseyl06: $4 for the robes?? Where did you get them? I have someone who could personalize them for me for next to nothing, but if I can get the robes for $4, sign me up! 🙂

@SweetMelissa429: $5 for the robes, $4 for the personalized hangers. I believe the website was cottonage.com. Another Bee had posted about it almost a year ago and I got them right there and then!

@SweetMelissa429: I see they have went back up since then! They are $11.99 now! 🙁 And you don’t have time to wait around on them to go back down. How many BMs do you have? I have 3 extra I believe since 3 girls have dropped out since I purchased the robes

@SweetMelissa429: If you have a swapmeet near you, there’s usually someone who does embroidery cheap there. Our indoor swapmeet is our go-to place for church stuff. This guy does full color logo embroidered on whatever you want for $5 a pop!

Got them robes, although mine aren’t “getting ready” robes lol, they’re Nordstrom’s plush robes. These are for their own personal use at home during the winter. I have one, and its been simply an amazing investment. I’m also getting them necklaces and clutches but those are for the wedding day.
(giving them gift receipts in case they don’t like it)
