My FI got flasks for the guys who drink but now cant think of anything for the other two. Any ideas?
We got our guys the reef flip flops that have the bottle openers in the bottem. they LOVEd them.
The hubs bought his groomsmen Red Rider Bee Bee Guns (anniversary edition) each engraved with their initials. I thought it was stupid, but their wives told me they loved them!
Um, my fiance and his groomsmen all play the online video game World of Warcraft, so he's gifting them valuable items from the game. Like armor for their characters to wear or game currency. What can I say? They're total nerds. And I know they will love their 'gifts'
Okay, so your gifts were all REALLY unique to your guys. Kudos to you all! I'm sure they will love/loved them. Unfortunately, I don't think we can use any of these :(
My FI plans to buy each of his boys an engraved cigar holder, cutter and a cigar.
The flip flops is a great idea!
We got them really nice ties ($50 ties, not crappy ones) and put down $50 towards their tuxes. They told us how awesome this was of us to do, how unnecessary, and how much they appreciated it.
They are getting coolers with their names monogrammed and a 6 pack to go along with them.
We are only having a Best Man, who is my fiances brother. He's unemployed right now so I think we are going to help pay for his suit and tie.
I love the liquor and cooler ideas! Too bad these last two dont drink.
If you like the cooler idea, why not pair it with some Jones soda or another non-alcoholic beverage they enjoy? I think personal is always nice.
I think we are gifting them the wedding ties as of now, FI has yet to fully decide who his GM are so we'll figure out gifts later.
Coolers are a really cool idea! All of our guys drink, except for the junior groomsman, so this may not help you either. We made them glasses etched with their last names (it turned out really cool, and not as difficult as we started to make it, PM me if you want instructions), a t-shirt for each guy with a different thing on it from cafe press, a bottle opener (not sure if we'll give this to the Jr) and beer that we made ourselves since we are homebrewers. We are making root beer for all the kids there and will give the Jr a couple of root beers.
I think for the non-drinkers you could still do coolers, they can carry sodas and lunches, or glasses, my guy got a gift card to best buy recently. Guys tend to be easier to shop for (in my opinion) because they don't buy stuff for themselves as much. Just try to personalize it - if they like sports, get them a jersey or sweatshirt of their favorite team; if they play golf, get them a bunch of balls and club covers; if they like to read, a first edition of a book by some author...
We stole this idea from what someone did for their bridal party, but my fiance is thinking of getting his groomsmen custom baseball jerseys for each of their favorite teams. DEFINITELY expensive though.
I like the cigar and cutter idea! Maybe we can add a bottle of liquor to that too!
Check out the art of shaving's website- they have shaving kits for $25, and you can get one free if you spend $100 (or at least, they run that promo pretty often), it works out to 5 for $100.
We are thinking about getting engragved beer steins for all the guys (all our guys love beer so it totally fits) and/or we are thinking about getting them all tuxedo shirts with their nicknames on the back (this could work for your non drinker guys) do you think they would like that?
We bought their ties for the wedding and FI is just planning on getting them gift cards to stores they like. We figured that'd go over better than a personalized gift.
the flip cam sounds pretty cool, but everyone will probably have it by next year.......
We are either getting them personalized coolers or personalized USB drives.
The coolers I think will be a good idea because even if they don't drink, there are plenty of used for coolers at picnics, fishing or hunting. Still deciding on the USB's (I think I saw them at Things Remembered) because there is one person (my brother) who might not use it. Or would lose it! I might do it for the jr. groomsmen though if we go with the coolers.
My FI is getting each of his groomsmen something different but unique to them. His Best man is getting a really nice fishing real and will be engraved (he loves fishing), another is getting a really nice poker set and the top will be engraved(loves poker!) ect.... It didn't take him long to think of the gifts either because he knew what each of them were in to and the price for most of them were kept under 75 dollars!
My FH got his groomsmen and the father engraved antique pocketwatches. He found them all on ebay for about $30 each (unengraved) then had engraving done. He is throwing in a bottle of liquor to each as well. you could do teh cigar/cutter (awesome idea) the pocketwatches (most guys dont have a use, but my dad said he felt kinda badass having one lol)
oh, and my FI is getting a stainless shaving kit for a wedding we're in the week before ours. He is pretty pumped to get it.
We got their ties, and we got the best man a monogrammed zippo. FI's brothers are getting small gift cards. To be honest, they haven't done squat for the wedding, unlike my bridesmaids, so the gift is basically thanking them for their participation.
My DH bought all his groomsmen custom Cooperstown baseball bats with their names, title (Groomsman, Best Man, etc) and the wedding date on them.
We picked up Capcatcher Bottle Openers for the guys from
They came out really well, I think its something that the guys will actually be able to use instead of getting tucked away in a sock drawer like a lot of other typical groomsmen gifts.
Fi liked them so much he got one for us. it has our names and wedding date on it. he better not forget our anniversary now!
I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a cool unique present for the guys.
FI received a really nice cast iron tea pot and two cups the last time he was a groomsman. I don't know what the other guys got, but they were all unique to the guys. It worked because FI isn't really a big alcohol drinker (or wasn't at the time) but was a HUGE green tea drinker. ;)
We just talked yesterday about what we'd get for his groomsmen this time around, but no decisions have been reached yet. In fact, no good ideas have even come up yet!
I love personalized zippo lighters as gifts. Even if they don't smoke... every guy likes a lighter!
My FI has been in quite a few weddings and he has recieved THREE personalized flasks! He likes the gift, but wants to do something different. His groomsmen are going to wear navy suits and he is going to help them buy their suits if they don't already have one. (I think he is going to decide on a set amount to contribute, or buy just the pants, etc) Not sure what he is going to do for any that already have navy suits. Ideas?
We're getting them ultra-fancy cigars, and perhaps a lighter or holder. Probably a lighter, though.
We only have my brother (usher) and my FI's brother (BM) as groomsmen and for both we bought them some awesome dog tags (from Things Remembered) with their name and a special saying on them. The BM's dog tag actually has a cross attached to it. We think they will love it. They love these kinds of things.
My fiance did "Beer of the Month Club" subscriptions, which won't help you for the non-drinkers... but his previous idea was to do sports jerseys for all of them, which I thought was a pretty good idea as well!
We just ordered personalized polar bear coolers. We have a few underage groomsman but figured that a soft cooler would work for all of them.
We are going to fill ice buckets with a few beers, beer shampoo and soap, and a few snacks like party mix. For the non-drinkers (ring bearers lol) we are doing root beer in place of the beer.
FI got his groomsmen personalized shoe-shining kits...something they can all use now and in the future.
I've seen the guys get wallets with a few gift cards to their favorite store. This was great because a few of the guys were under 21 and weren't up for the party type gifts.
I think we are going to get fossil watches ($85)...we have a coupon so it comes out ~70.
We gave our guys vintage football posters that featured the schools they went to.
