We wanted something up-tempo, a song that we could have a fun choreographed dance to. We chose Michael Buble's "Everything." It's a very fun and sweet song and we are sooooo excited to bring it to life. Hopefully we don't embarrass ourselves too much!
Ours was I Have and Always Will by Dave Barnes. It's a slow song, but my husband is not a dancer, so it was great for us.
Good song Janieleigh! I had to pull it because I have never heard of it. We are leaning towards First day of my life by Bright Eyes but I need to have this one somewhere! haha...thanks!
Ours will be "Until You" by Dave Barnes> It's up tempo and romantic.
We haven't made a final decision, but are leaning in favor of "More" by Bobby Darin.

we're using "i'm yours" by jason mraz.. but the casanova versions. it's a lot more mellow and relaxing, not the same normal upbeat-ness! then somewhere in the middle, we're playing "anyone else but you," by the moldy peaches!! (song at the end of the movie juno).
"nothing fancy" is a song by dave barnes. FANTASTIC wedding song!! youtube it! here are some of the lyrics:

they'll tell you who's covered a particular song you like. all you have to do then, is find the cover that you prefer! i'm a bit of a fan of slow songs covered by punk/rock bands! hehe

Our first dance song was "Baby it's Fact" by Hellogoodbye -- we choreographed it and it was a lot of fun! Everyone loved it.

We're not having a first dance, but if we were it would be "Differences" by Genuwine
I fell in love with Nick Lachey's "This I Swear" while watching The Newlyweds a few years ago. That song brought tears to my eyes. I would use it for the ceremony song because it's melodious and soothing. Our first dance song will probabaly be "Steppin' Out" by Kaskade (the chillout mix). It's DEFINITELY not a "yay wedding!" type of song, but the lyrics mean a lot to me and it was the first song the bf ever played for me. We have a thousand versions of this song, but the "chillout mix" is our definite favorite.

I like Coldplay for something modern and different. We were going to have our first dance to a song of theirs, but found something more suitable for our quirkiness.
My Wish - Rascal Flatts
It's our song. There isn't even a question. But I do love hearing all these other songs because we hope to plan out a lot of our music played throughout the night!
We haven't decided yet, but the song that makes me swooooon is David Gray's "This Year's Love."

My music tastes tend to be more classic rock than modern, but I'll share with the hopes something clicks. Some of the songs I like that I'm considering:

Ok I have been to 8 MILLION weddings and have heard the same ole same ole first dance songs. I REALLY want something modern and not overplayed. Any suggestions?
YouTube has a TON of funny alternatives but thats not really us, I want something romantic possibly a remake of a popular song. Thanks in advance.
