FI and I never go out on Valentines day we always stay home and cook something fancy or fun (fondue, filet, lobster, homemade heart shaped pizzas etc.) . I have been a super slacker this year and have no plans for tonight and I don’t know what to cook. Any one have any great menus they are making tonight? I need some inspiration!

I’m making FI and I two huge Lobster tails (literally almost a lb each) broiled with cajun seasoning and butter with asparagus and rice pilaf. For dessert i’ll probably make a strawberry short cake.

DH is making his famous tomato soup! That probably doens’t sounds as exciting as it really is because let me tell you I could LIVE off this stuff, and its complicated so he doesn’t make it nearly as much as I would like him to!
We are making pesto chicken and swiss panini’s to go with them and I am making chocolate covered strawberries and angel food cake for dessert! 😀 YAY!

@Meggiemae14: Shrimp cocktail and moscow mules for the appetizer and cocktail. Then, a Brussels sprouts Caesar salad for the first course. Angel hair with scallops for the main course. Peppermint patty brownies for dessert. With lots of champagne and wine!

@Meggiemae14: Thai fish cakes to start, then beef wellington with potato rosti, broccoli, mushrooms and carrot and swede mash, and triple chocolate fondants for dessert

@lina010: that’s almost exactly what we’re having except I’m making blueberry shortcake.
