for the week-end? Being St-Patrick's day tomorrow what are you ladies doing?
I'm getting my hair done tomorrow and I have nooooo clue what I'm doing to it yet, I know I want a trim and color it but not sure what yet, maybe going back to my natural brownish color and get it ready for the wedding :-) Then it's back to renovations in the basement. We are going out tomorrow night for some green beer! Sunday, I'll be back in the basement painting and doing other stuff while FI puts on the backsplash on the bar, yay!
What about you ladies?
@couawilou: My girl friends are coming over for dinner and board games. :) We're staying in, keeping it simple.. :)
@couawilou: since I can't have green beer, maybe I'll have a green bagel. Pregnancy puts a damper on St Patty's!
@pengoala: Nice! I love those nights, I am having one of those at the end of the month with my bridal party.
Imeant to put this on the Lounge section, can someone move it for me please?
@couawilou: done! :)
In Dallas we have our HUGE St.Pattys day parade/party that starts at 10AM, which means I will be cracking my first beer at about 8AM! Always a fun time!
DH and I are going to my parent's vacation home in St. Mary's, GA. My sister and her new fiance are also there (they are on Spring Break). So all 6 of us will get to hang out! This is also the first time I'll be seeing my sister in person since she got engaged.
@AnnieAAA: Thank you :) 8am for a beer!! Nah it's not early lol it's noon somewhere in the world, that's what my FI always says lol
@Mrs.KMM: That will be nice! Have fun
@AnnieAAA: We live pretty close to the parade--I'm sure the traffic on Saturday near our apartment is going to be insane! I wanted to go but I scheduled a hair appointment for the morning awhile back before I realized it was St. Patty's day..
@MM423: Ouchie, yeah you are going to be fighting mad traffic to get in/out. Have you been before?
We both have doctor's appointments tomorrow, haha. What a holiday. Later though we are going to his parents' house to print our invitations!! His dad is printing them. So excited!
Work, work and more work. Our office is severly understaffed at the moment with a number of people out traveling for work. So I have to cover a few events this weekend. And then, hopefully, I'll have to come in on Sunday night and do work to get stuff turned around for next weekend. Life in college athletics!
I work tonight (blah).
Saturday night I am meeting my BFF's extended family for the first time. We are meeting them at a bar to drink (this is a HUGE step in our relationship, lol).
Sunday I'm going to Church then swimming with my Youth Group at a local indoor water park (ah, 2 hours swimming with 15 middle and high schoolers, joy).
@AnnieAAA: I've actually never been! Some of our friends are pretty intense about it and are heading to Ozona at like 8:00 am to hold a table. I thought about rescheduling my hair appointment to join, but I couldn't get in for another 3 weeks. I can't see past my bangs right now, haha, so I guess that will have to be my priority!
It's Mothering Sunday in the UK so I was going to see OHs mum (since he is away and so is my mum) but she's busy with her own mother and other son so I've no idea :(
I'm going to 'VegFest' in Brighton tomorrow. It's a veggie/vegan fair - I went last year and I LOVED it! All the freebies are the best!
Mother's Day on Sunday but I live 4+ hours away from my mum so I sent her a present and a card.
I never do anything for St Patricks day and instead I'm going to a friends 'Divorce Party' - I'm hoping it will be a good laugh.
My fiance comes home today from working out of state (he's gone Monday -Friday every week, ugh) so we'll hang out tonight when I get off work at 8pm.
Tomorrow's my birthday! Such a fun birthday. I still have to work from 11-630 though. I usually go all out with a party bus or renting out a bar with a karaoke DJ or something, but not this year. My brain is swimming with wedding details and I just didn't feel like planning something. FI's taking me to dinner at a really nice place tomorrow night, then Sunday I'm celebrating with my parents, gramma and FI at Cantina Laredo (upscale Mexican!) which I'm really pumped about.
Monday I'm off as usual. I have my 2nd dress alterations appt at 2pm, then meeting with videographer at 6:30. Lord. It's almost over.
Tonight FI actually has another night off, so he's getting a haircut and we're going out later to a microbrewary with some work friends of his. Saturday he's working, I'm making irish soda bread and we're going to the FIL's for corned beef dinner, then Sunday he has an early meeting so I'm going to church (would be bad for neither of us to show up the week we meet with the pastor!) and then we're spending the entire day doing nothing =P oh well other than going on over to Trade Joes!
FI and I are going to visit our #1 venue choice tomorrow!!! We weren't that excited about getting crazy for St Patty's this weekend and we just got engaged, so we are basically going back to my hometown to see my folks, best friends, and then the venue which is a few towns over. I can't wait to get out of work!!
Laying on the couch... I've been dealing with some health issues for a few weeks... Due to a hold up with our health insurance, we have to a wait a few more days to get tests done... Hopefully I'll feel good enough to head to my bro and sis-in-law's apt for a birthday party for my brother :)
FI is going to his dad's tomorrow I think. I'm staying home and working on wedding stuff. 3 more weeks!!!
It's my weekend on to work :(
I work 3am-3pm St. Patrick's day, and 7a-3pm on Sunday. And most likely studying.
Definitely partying hard tomorrow! St. Pat's is always a huge day in the city, and I'm Irish, so it's like Christmas :)
I've got to bake a cake and find a present for my little brother, his birthday is sunday, he's turning 15!! So crazy. I remember when that kid was a fetus.
I'm riding in a St. Patty's day parade tomorrow morning starting EARLY! I'm originally from the Westcoast and just moved to the diiiirrttyy south two months ago, since then I've ridden in a parade for Mardi Gras in New Orleans and tomorrow for St. Patty's! I never even seen a parade until I moved to Louisianna and now I'm riding in my second one so i'm very excited! Hope everyone has a great ST. PATTY'S DAY!!!
Going to a hibachi place tonight with a friend who moved back to town and some other friends. I keep worrying about it being bad (the restaurant) and am obsessing over it. First he said sushi, so I gave him a recommendation for what I've heard is the best in town. Came back and said they didn't have a grill (hibachi) so he had made a reservation at X place.
Well x place has kinda sucky reviews and I don't know if he got a rec for it or just picked it, since he's new-ish in town. Argh, I'm sure it'll be fine, but my inner control freak is going a little nuts that there is another similar place with awesome reviews across the street. But since he already made reservations, and I've been to neither place, I don't want to be all pushy.
Lol, other than that, watching March Madness tomorrow and hoping my team can do the impossible, and hopefully getting outside to enjoy this glorious weather!
Tonight FI and I are finishing the STDs for his side (mine have already been sent out months ago... *le sigh*).
Tomorrow I'm having new furniture delivered and then I'm headed to my Mom's for an Irish dinner with relatives. She's making me chicken because I don't like corned beef. lol @ being a bad Irish girl. I'll be taking down quite a few Guinness to make up for it.
Sunday I'm meeting with my bridesmaids to have them try on dresses!
@MapleMoose: Yay for trying on BM dresses!!! I got my STDS yesterday and I'm so excited to send them out this week.
@couawilou: EEEE!! What kind did you end up with? We did magnets from Vistaprint and I <3 them.
@MapleMoose: So did I, I only paid for shipping!!! I Love Vistaprint! I got 20 large magnets, 10 in English and 10 in Portuguese can't wait to send them off.
@MapleMoose: Not for the STDS, all of the French is from my side of the family but they all speak Portuguese :)
I have a fire inspection first thing tomorrow morning, then I'm working on spring cleaning, and Sunday going to my mom's for corned beef and cabbage. Yumm. :)
We'll be at the bar by 2pm....Boston is a very fun place to celebrate St. Patty's!
Ah, I actually live in Ireland, and this is the third year I miss St Paddy's! I have always been working.. and this year it's not different because I will be doing more kiddie things where we live (bouncing castles, kiddie fair), which is 30 minutes away from Dublin :)
I don't really feel like going all the way to the city to watch the Parade, because it's so crowded and alot of drunken people (at least later in the afternoon/evening) ...
BUT.. I will cook a nice dinner, and buy home some Smithwicks. :D
EDIT: I really don't like Guinness, but FI prefers it over tap in the pub, don't know why, he just says it tastes better. So if we are having a pint of Guinness it will be in the pub :D Hopefully a green one with shamrocks! :D
