Mr. S has been hanging out with his brother all day (I didn't go with because my friend from out of town wanted to meet up for lunch, and I only get to see her a couple of times a year), and now that I've been home a few hours and he isn't, I am... bored. :) I watched my Netflix movie ("The Business of Being Born" and it totally freaked me out/made me all kinds of anxious for when we finally have kids), did my reading for the first day of classes on Monday, and now... y'all are not posting threads fast enough. ;)

What is everyone else up to tonight?

My hubby is at work today (he works 24 hour shifts) so I've been kind of a lazy bum all day.  I'm finally starting to do laundry that I promised I would get done by tomorrow.  Other than that, I haven't been doing much and I'm loving it! :)

We took down our Christmas tree and decorations today.  We also got a turkey in some brine to bbq tomorrow.  We bought a $6 18lb turkey right before Thanksgiving and never got around to cooking it since we do Thanksgiving at our parent's houses.  Just got done with dinner (turkey burgers) - I guess we like turkey? And now we're looking for a movie to watch tonight.

@studentbride I LOVE turkey tacos!  I like to cook the turkey with a can of black beans, taco seasoning, onions and garlic.

    i LOVE home alone 2.

Yeah, i try to substitue ground turkey for all things ground beef. I should try to do that next time i make taco kit.. i just buy a taco kit with the tortilla shells, the seasoning and the salsa and i just add lettuce, tomato, and cheese.

I am officially starving and want to go hit up a taco bell

@CorgiTales-- I LOVE HOME ALONE 2!!!! lol, and Home Alone 3, even though Maculay Culkin (I'm sure I just butchered his name :/...) isn't in it.

SO and I just watched Obsessed, that movie with Beyonce where the hubby is being stalked by some crazy, but very hot, temp. SO seemed to really enjoy it. Especially the cat fight at the end lol. It was actually a pretty good movie.

    Mrs. DG    July 18, 2009   Seattle/Tahoe

Keep in mind that the Business of Being Born is very one-sided.  I thought it was a good opinion piece, but only part of a larger picture that isn't shown there... so don't be too freaked by it!

Anyway, we went out with friends tonight.  We just got home and Mr. DG totally sacked out while watching a movie.  It's not even 9 here!  For a young guy, he sure is old :)

I just started (500)Days of Summer...is it good?

Still super board though. Is anyone else super bummed when their SO is out of town or is it an opportunity to bust out the secret single behavior?

I tried cleaning the spare room that has been a catch all for a ton of stuff the last 4 months since I moved in. Mr. KM was finishing his last application and has moved on to his sermon writing at his house, so I've been alone. And very unproductive!

@amanda.lynn: I want to see that movie so bad!

@Mrs. DG: I was definitely looking for anywhere I didn't feel like I was getting the full story. ;) I was glad they included the filmmaker's birth experience; I felt like that did provide some balance (it wasn't the biggest piece of anti-medical establishment propaganda I've ever seen, certainly!).

@MrsSpitzer: I've heard good things about it... let us know!

Mr. S just got back so I'm gonna run. Have a good night, all!
