I'm walking to 'the beach song' by Hans Zimmer, it's featured in True Romance. Such a happy little song :-)
I'm going to walk to "Come Away With Me" by Norah Jones... but I have NO idea what my bridal party will walk to... the man and I have been really big on Norah since we started dating.
We had a singer play piano and sing "Faithfully" by Journey. (wedding was outdoors) Not a dry eye in the house, it was SOO romantic!
we are having an outdoor ceremony with an accoustic guitar player only. I used to work at Disney World and to pay tribute to my love of Disney Im walking down to the accoustic version of "When You Wish Upon a Star." Now i need to figure out what my girls will walk down to.
I LOVE how different everyone's choices are!! My BMs will be walking in to In My Life (The Beatles) or possibly Words of Love (written by Buddy Holly, performed by The Beatles); I really can't decide. I will follow, walking to Here, There, and Everywhere (The Beatles). We are leaving to Got to Get you Into My Life (The Beatles). Anyone sensing a theme? I couldn't help myself! My FI stopped me and said the theme could not continue through all the festivities, so my dad and I are dancing to Someone to Watch Over me (which we danced to when he married my stepmom when I was 9) and FI and I are dancing to Better Together (Jack Johnson). Picking the music has very possibly been the easiest part for me!!
instrumental version of Don't Stop Believin' by Journey! I'm super stoked on it
@Mrs. Menard to Be - Have you heard the Shania Twain/Bryan White duet of "From This Moment On." It's even better than just Shania! You should give it a listen.
And other bees, I'm so glad to see other people walking down the aisle to "Bless the Broken Road"! I'm currently fighting for this one. I prefer the Selah/Melanie Crittenden version to the Rascall Flatts version, but the words for me are so meaningful. FI and I had been through so many trials and heartbreaks before we met each other. As corny as it is, we really complete each other, and I know he is exactly what God had planned for me.
The bridal party is walking down to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, and I'll be entering to a modified version (and without lyrics) of Intervention by The Arcade Fire. Both will be played live by a full band :)
I am walking too faithfully-just piano and the wedding party will be walking to bless the broken road-piano
Sakura Kiss from Ouran High School Host Club: the strings version for the 'maids, and the piano version for me!
The wedding party will walk to Enya's Only Time (she wrote it right after 9/11); they'll be carrying the canopy under which we'll be married (indoors). They'll continue to hold it over us. Me? I thought Canon in D, but there are sooooo many great ideas here. I'll listen to them all and decide. Just wanted to toss in Only Time as another idea for some of you...
the bridal party walked down to Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World by that Hawaiin guy, it was so beautiful! then the piano player performed guitar and sang during our cocktail hour. He was a total hit!
@okpharmbride - i love the duet version! it's sooooo much prettier. & i think if we go with bless the broken road, it'll probably be the rascal flatts version...or maybe just the instrumentals. so many choices.. :)
My bridal party walked down to Forever Love by Francesca Badestelli(this would be a GREAT song for the bride to walk to as well - my guests were crying before I ever even entered the doorway - its a really really sweet song) and I walked down to Stevie Wonder's Sunshine of My Life :)
