Because my dress is very well structured, I honestly don’t think shapewear would make that much difference for me, plus I think I’d be more comfortable without lycra from waist to knees!  I don’t think I’ll be wearing a bra at all because I don’t have very much up there – I’ll just have some cups sewn into the dress itself.

I wore a mixture of both. Sexy corset and spanx. Well, might be that it didn’t look very sexy at all:-) But to be honest, the spanx were a very good decision but only because my thighs used to rub at each other. Didn’t really need them for shaping. So if I haven’t had the problem with my thighs, I would have definitely worn sexy lingerie.

I feel pretty body confident and I’ve never worn shapewear in my life, so I don’t plan to start now. Just some cute, comfortable panties for me, please!

I’ll probably be in some shapewear. it will be my first time wearing it.

@Edelweiss:  I second this! Something cute and comfortable is the middle path!

I wanted to wear spanx and change to something cute at the end of the day, but FI specifically requested sexy underwear during the wedding. I don’t really need spanx though because I’m wearing a ballgown and you can’t see any of my fat areas. I just think it’s comfortable.

I have a structured top on my dress, and the bottom hides what it needs to…so SeXy all the way!!! 🙂

My dress has a very structured top and the bottom is so thick you couldn’t tell if I was wearing spanx or not.  I’m gonna wear something lacy and then some bike shorts (that I take off before DH sees) so I don’t get a rash from sweaty legs rubbing against each other all afternoon and night.

I personally will feel sexier if I know I look good in the dress than if I know I look good under the dress, so I will be wearing spanx.  My gown is a satin trumpet, and it REALLY shows ALL underwear lines if I wear anything other than spanx (I tried, trust me).

I actually think I may go commando… My dress is well structured enough to not need anything on top, and well, won’t it be easier to pee if I’m not wearing underware? I may also see if I can find some super breathe able panties. Gonna be hot under there!

I went with the practical – spanx and my crinoline – underneath, really nothing sexy.  And then I changed into the sexy at the end of the night. I didn’t want my “sexy bridal” look to be all sweaty and gross.  😛

I have a longline bra (so kind of shapewear…definitely holds in the middle section)- and will just be wearing some cute comfy underwear!
