Ha! I LOVE small dogs, but maybe that’s because I’ve always had really good luck with them as far as personality. I’ve always had really sweet shih tzus and mixes, and currently, we have a Maltese. I like a dog that sits on the couch with me, or in my lap, and not take up too much room 🙂

But I love playing with bigger dogs. I also grew up with a golden, and he was the best.

The only dog I ever had a bad experience with were min pins. I had a friend in college who’s parents had two of them, and whenever I would stay at her house, they wouldn’t stop barking. Like, ever. And they were always on top of me. Could have been bad training.

Favorite – golden retriever and labs.

I don’t dislike any dogs either, but I prefer big dogs too. I have a soft spot for pugs, though, and French bulldogs.

Boxers! I just think they are the coolest, smartest dogs ever. My family has had 3, so that’s probably why. 🙂

I’m not a big fan of HUGE dogs – great pyrenees, big labs, st. bernards, great danes, etc. The hair and the slobber and the tail breaking things…. maybe I’ve just never been around a well-trained big dog.

Not that I would ever turn a dog away because of it’s size/breed. 🙂

I like medium to large sized terriers the best: Welsh, Fox, Wire Fox, Airedale!

I wouldn’t say I dislike many breeds, but I don’t like “extra-large” dogs for the slobber mostly lol!

I’m really partial to Australian Shepherds, especially after adopting our 1 1/2 year old Aussie. She is so smart, loving, and energetic. She is the sweetest companion we could ask for!

There are no breeds that I dislike, but there are ones I wouldn’t get – as cute as bulldogs are, they are way too slobbery and have too many health issues for my taste. I’m not much of a smaller dog person because I like going on runs with our dog.

My husband and I both dream of getting a Husky! I just love their pretty eyes. But right now we would be bad dog owners (never home) so we don’t feel it’s the right thing to do.

My husband makes me giggle because he despises small dog breeds…but adores our tiny petite kitty!

Oh my I love ALL dogs, but I prefer my dogs to be stumpy and chunky 🙂 Pugs are my favorite 🙂 My fiance and I have a pug and a puggle.

I am not really into sporty dogs or little yippy dogs.

My favorite are small/medium terriers.  My family has two Westies and my best friend has a Cairn.  (One of the two Westies has previously lived with me and before that my best friend and her family… he is an awesome dog of many families.)  I also find Beagles totally adorable.

I am not into huge dogs or teacup size dogs, but they are still doggies so I can’t say I dislike them.

I prefer smaller dogs, but I’m more of a cat person anyway. My parents have a lab/beagle mix, but he’s a super well-trained service dog, so he almost doesn’t count. Haha. I think if we get a dog at some point in the future it will have to be a hypoallergenic breed so I can at least TRY to control my allergies.

I don’t *dislike* any dog – I love dogs. I prefer terriers because they are so smart and loyal, and I also like smaller but still good sized dogs like pugs, boston terriers, King Charles Caviler Spaniels. I do prefer dogs that don’t shed a ton (we’ll never have a husky, for instance).

The dogs that keep a spot closest to my heart though are spunky, rag-a-muffin little mixes though. FH jokes that my favorite types of dogs are the ones that look “homeless” – and it’s true. I can appreciate a beautiful, elegant dog – but I loves me some little rag-a-muffins – especially the ones without a typical look to them – ears too big, etc.

I’m not a huge fan of cocker spaniels because the ones I’ve met were dumb as a box of rocks, and the only dog to ever bite me was a cocker spaniel. 🙁  I’m also not a huge fan of golden retrievers or labs. Also not a huge fan of ultra-tiny dogs – a dog is a dog, he should be able to run and jump and rough-house without the worry of breaking him.

Favorite – STANDARD POODLE, hands down!!!!! Also love wold hybrids and Great Dane’s.

Least – Terrier breeds, especially Jack Russell’s. I’ve never met one who wasn’t incredibly annoying ;-)I love the personality and temperament of labs, but they are the worst for my allergies and I think their coats are always icky so I hate touching them. They make my hands feel awful.

I agree with above too, not a fan of fragile or tiny dogs…
