I love Feel Script from Veer but it's a bit expensive. I'm still looking for alternatives. Freebies would be great, but if it's something I really love I could justify spending a little something. However many of them are beyond a little something. :)
I love dafont.com. I downloaded a ton of free fonts (they have hundreds) to my computer and use them all the time. I am a fan of Jane Austen and Rough Typewriter but there are so many to choose from!
I'm using Freebooter Script for my invites and I think I got it for free on Dafont.com. I also LOVE Fling and Wendy but I'm pretty sure you have to pay for those. There's also something really sweet about the handwritten scripts like Honey Script and the Dear Joe group which are free.
On Dafont if you type in some fonts you can't find like Fling it'll tell you where you can buy them.
I used Feel Script and Solid Antique Roman. I paid for both, a bit pricey but I use them a lot for my website. There are lots of pretty fonts that are free though.
How funny... I was just going to write a post on this because I found dafont.com
I just downloaded decotech, anastasia, grenadier, rivana, verve, manifest and mouse deco.
We are going for a retro font. Is it weird that I'm getting totally obsessively excited about fonts? I kind of think so, but I'm just going with it.
I'm not big on "calligraphy" fonts, but some of my favorites are Pavane and Pristina from dafont.com
Free is the magic number!
I like www.urbanfonts.com. You can type in what you want to say and it automatically previews the words in all their different fonts. Personally, I love the "Scriptina" font, but its a matter of personal preference and the style you are hoping to achieve (more formal vs. informal, etc.) Plus, IT'S FREE!!
Just wanted to pop back in with a quick PSA about Monterey AB -- same feel as Feel Script (hehe), but free! ![]()
Okay, continue discussing... ![]()
We used Feel Script for our names and the quote we have on our invites :) Turned out great!!
@MagPie518: Where do you download Monterey AB? I googled it but only found Monterey BT for $24. Although that is still a lot more affordable than Feel Script. They do look really similar!
I also love Dafont! They've got tons of great fonts for free. You might have to sort through a lot of what you don't like to find something that you DO like, but there's a lot of good out there if you've got the time to find it! :)
Feel script is my fave too! We're doing a retro-glam theme so it kinda ties in. We're using it on our guest information sheet and we are using Monterey on the custom napkins and coasters we're making.
I also have Happy Hour which is a fun script and retro too.
My favorites are Bickham Fancy Caps, Beautiful ES (looks like lowercase Bickham) and Porcelain.
I'm with AIHNEN, I love Scriptina! One of my favorite free font sites is www.dafont.com :)
I'm totally loving this font: joe hand 2, which I downloaded from dafont.com
Yes, it's Alice Cullen's handwriting.
@ MMWedding:
My bad. I misnamed the font slightly. But, check his link!

We're using a combination of Burgues Script and Copperplate Gothic Light on our STD's and invites.
http://www.sudtipos.com/fonts/97 for a look at Burgues Script. I use it with Photoshop to access the alternate flourishes. For some reason, it doesn't look as fancy when I use it with MS Word.
PS I had to purchase Burgues Script. It's not available on any of the free sites.
Dafont is one of favorites. When we made our invitations for our wedding, I was partial to some of the P22 fonts: P22 Cezanne, P22 Dearest Script and P22 Dearest Swash. Unfortunately, you have to purchase these fonts.
I use fontspace for free fonts. Being a traditionalist, I like "Chopin".
We are using a mixture of Chopin Script, Oldscript and Parma Petit (PP for straight letterings - I get a headache if everything is in cursive and I don't want our guests to kill us)!
Other fonts that were up for consideration - Albemarle, MeaCulpa, Champignon, Beautiful and Selfish.
All from either dafont or fonts101.
Feel Script from Veer is my favorite, but a little pricey. For a free alternative, I love Albemarle Swash from Dafont. I'm using it in our invite suite/website. Mrs. Tiramisu and Mrs. Cupcake both used it in their designs.

There are so many calligraphy fonts out there. Which, for wedding-planning purposes, are your favorites? And, do you favor freebies, or ones that cost something?
