I love MAC brushes but they are kind of pricey. I’ve found that Sigma brushes are very comparable but aren’t as expensive. I bought the premium kit from Sigma and love them.

Ditto for SIGMA! They are fantastic quality and are very decently priced for higher end brushed. You could also check out Coastal Scents brushes. I’ve never owned any, but have heard good things.

I have only ever used MAC brushes and a few Sonia Kashuk ones that I picked up at Target.  I LOVE my MAC brushes.  They are expensive, but if you take care of them they last a really long time.

I liked Sephora’s pro line… they’re supposed to last years and years and if brissles (sp?) start to fall out, they’ll replace it for you no questions asked.

Oh! I thought of more. Real Techniques brushes are great! Very affordable. They just don’t have an extensive line yet.

Wayne Goss! I like them even more than my Hakuhodos.

Going to try out Chikuhodo next!

I use a set by Quo, which is a brand sold by Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada. I’ve had them for about a year or two, and they hold up really well. I have one brush from MAC (for cream blush) and it is always losing bristles.

Sigma and Make Up For Ever. The latter has some hit and miss ones but just read the reviews before you buy!

I love the Eco Tools ones.  Very affordable and soft; mine last forever, longer than some of my much more expensive ones did.  I also like Urban Decay brushes.

cranraspberry:  I want to start buying some Hakuhodo brushes so bad!!! I can never bring myself to buy one.

I don’t like one particular brand. I like different brands for different brushes…MAC, Sigma, Sephora, Real Techniques, and even an ELF brush.

gelaine22:  the $10 shipping always KILLS me. There’s just something about paying for shipping that I can’t tolerate.

Wayne Goss and Chikuhodo are also made in Japan and are available on Beautylish with free shipping and $10 off your first order! You could give those a try instead. 🙂

Wayne Goss!  He has recently expanded his line and I might pick up some face brushes.  The eye brushes blend like a dream.
