I would say any with family/friends or with wedding party. My photographer got too carried away with taking pics of inanimate objects and didn’t get any photos of me and my mom, or DH and our kids and not nearly as many wedding party photos (only like 4 or 5 poses thats it!!!) We have to end up doing wedding photos over again because the 1st photographer didn’t get what I valued most and that was PEOPLE!

@chelseakayd:  For us, it was not really about poses and props, but about the PEOPLE! We gave full creative powers to our photographers to capture us, our families, and guests in the most natural way possible, experiencing all the emotions of our wedding and by just being ourselves. We did say that we wanted a first look, followed by family photos (we didn’t have a bridal party) and then a few minutes to sneak off by ourselves for some portraits as a the sun set. But that’s it! I am really thrilled with the way our photos turned out! I truly admired our photographer’s style before the wedding and it was magical to see ourselves through her artistic eye and re-live that exciting day when we got our photos back.

That said, if your photographer is asking for particular shots, I’m sure others will be thrilled to share what they liked best!

@lindseyl06:  ETA: Ha! Just saw what you wrote! I like the way you think! 😉

I had to have a photo of my DH’s first look, and got a few:

We exchanged letters before the ceremony, and wanted photos of that:

This is me trying to peek haha

I had seen a lot of fence pictures on Pinterest, so I requested a few of those, and I think they turned out great!

The next few were not on my “must have” list, but are some of my favorites!
