Mrs. Mouse:  I’ve never listened to a podcast – honestly I don’t know how to find them!

My favorite is “Freakenomics” with “This American Life” in close second. We’ve got tickets to see Ira Glass next week!!! I also really love “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me” and “TED Radio” and “The Savage Love Cast”.

Another stuff you should know fan here!! Also, became a big Hamish and Andy fan on our honeymoon (they were doing their Gap Year show) so my DH and I listen to their podcasts too 🙂

Can’t wait to see other responses!!

Mrs. Mouse:  I downloaded a bunch of The Ricky Gervais Show a while back. I had an hour commute to and from work five days a week two years ago and it would drive me crazy, but then I stumbled upon the RGS and it made it so much easier! It’s so funny! For those that don’t know, The Ricky Gervais Show starred Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, and Karl Pilkington. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant created the original Office and produce all of the spin offs, and their podcasts came from their popular Saturday morning radio show, that ran for five years before going off the air. Karl Pilkington was their producer, who was supposed to just sit quietly in the corner while they did their show, but Ricky and Steve soon realized he was pretty hysterical and started including him more in the show…and from there the radio show and subsequent podcasts kind of exploded. They are incredibly funny and my favorite things to put on while I’m cleaning or driving long distances.

I am a newly wed so I am going to suggest a few for marriage advice that I am addicted to. A lot of them are based on Christian virtues, and even though I am an Athiest, they are super helpful & entertaining.

My all time favorite is: ” Mastering Marriage”

Then there is: “Sexy Marriage Radio,” “The Stupendous Marriage Podcast,” “Better Conversations” (about money AND marriage), “The Marriage Podcast,” “Save the Marriage Podcast,” “ONE Extradordinary Marriage.”

I have other favorite podcasts that I will suggest in another comment.

This is a great idea! Honestly I’m with MsGinkgo: , I stick to music and radio and stand-up comedy because I’ve never thought to seek out podcasts, but I would definitely be willing to listen with the right recommendations!
