Oh I think the sand favors is really sweet!
We're donating to a rare cancer research fund. A few years ago FMIL was diagnosed, and luckily quickly beat it and is now in remission. It's incredibly rare (I can't even remember the name of it), so it's always overlooked by cancer researchers. We're just putting a little sign about it by the guest book.
We are having a candy buffet, so that will be a part of the favoring, we will also have small favor boxes at each seat with fortune cookies in them. We will have mini water bottles with personalized labels on them too.
I've heard that the most "favored" gifts are those that are edible...so to make sure my money spent was well worth spending, we are going with all edible favors!
I am thinking of doing Hot Chocolate since I am having a fall wedding

We're doing mini apple pies...

Ours won't have a monogram, though.
I like the hot chocolate and apple pies. I usually only like edible favors, or else they will go to waste. Donations are my fave, since I feel like thats better than getting a trinket. We are not doing favors but offering a late night buffet instead.
We are having Succlecent plants in these cute navy blue pots and then they will be placed in a navy blue organza bag. They will also serve as Escort Cards. My MIL is a florist so she has started to plant all of the plants!
that is a really great favor idea! very sweet and sentimental.
we did champagne flutes with hersey kisses

@specialklove: Thanks....I am really excited about it and it is cost effective too.
Since we are having a destination wedding we are doing welcome bags as our favors (they will get them when they arrive).
They get:
beach bag
beach towel
2 washcloths (our resort doesn't have them)
mini rum cake
aluminum water bottle
2 stadium cups with our logo
small snacks (chips, granola bar, candy)
1st aide kit with hangover stuff inside too
We are making a donation to the animal shelter where we got our dog. The shelter provided cards with our words and their mission. We're having them attached to little paw print shaped cookies that a local cookie company is making. We're also doing a candy table.
We are doing a "sweets and treats" table at the reception and a hotel welcome kits for out of town guests.
AHHHHHHHHHH!! i love all of these ideas!!! esp the hot cocoa baggies!!!!
we are doing seed packets....they will have a pic, our date and a bible verse on the outside. It's $1 per packet and something thet can last our guest a lifetime if they grow them! im so excited!

My fiance and I always have scrambled eggs on Friday nights, so our favour is going to be a heart whisk with a picture of our dinner (scrambled eggs, sweet potato home fries and roasted swiss chard) with the recipe. I'm hoping its useful enough people will take it and use it, and I love how it's just so us.

Oooh I love these ideas, we're having a vintage/old hollywood theme so we are giving our guest "a night in" .one of these old school popcorn tubs w/popcorn and movie candy. FI and I are also thinking about putting a copy of Idylwild in the package with and old school coke glass
and these coke bottles with our names wrapped around them
I will be doing a romantic evening bag. I will be having a candy buffet, they will get a CD with all our songs we love, and a packet of our signature drink (blue hawaiian).
We are giving our fuest personalized wine glasses with our monogram etched as well as wedding CD's entitled "Our Love Story". The wedding CD takes you through songs that describe our love from the moment we met until our marriage....

So in the beginning of all of the planning FH and I had sat down and discussed a few things:
1) How to incorporate the kids, besides being in the wedding (Sand Ceremony)
2) FAVORS!!!!
FH did not want to do the candy, the CD (which was #1 on my list) , nor the Bottle of Wine. Sooooo we came up with the idea of doing a small replica of our Sand Ceremony as favors. I've found some nice small glass corked bottles at www.save-on-crafts.com and I will attach a nice poem or something indicating everyones color and meaning.
So ladies what are you doing for your favors????
