What are the movies you go back to time and time again because they just make you feel good?
My big ones:
Father of the Bride- parts 1 and 2. I could probably watch one of these every day.
Sleepless in Seattle
Forrest Gump…can you tell I love Tom Hanks?
Because I Said So
Independence Day-different than the others on the list, but I love it!

Right now I’m loving Frozen. It’s just so easy to watch, and very charming.
I also like Pretty Woman.

Bridey77: I still have never watched It’s a Wonderful Life. I’ve heard it’s amazing.
Penang1885: Ahh Frozen. My niece made me listen to “Let It Go” about 100 times so I’m good on it. Love Pretty Woman!

Any of the Star Trek movies, Back to the Future, and Zoolander!

Finding Nemo! Absolutely love that movie! I cant stay sad/angry if I watch it.

MadameX: +1000 to Star Trek! Number 4 is my favorite. Mr Spock actually has a great philosophy for planning a reception…”The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one”.

This is going to sound bad but Armageddon, lol.
Also, anything from the Marvel Universe, Star Trek I and II, Dark Knight Trilogy, Made of Honor, and Lilo and Stitch.

KatiePi: Hahaha, luckily I love that song so it doesn’t bother me to listen to it a lot. Maybe that will change when I have kids, mind you!

- Wedding: A very pretty church.
For when I am really sick, the 6 hour 1995 BBC Pride & Prejudice mini-series 😉
George of the Jungle – love 4th wall jokes, loved watching it with my brother when I was a kid
Disney’s Fantasia (the old one, if you’re running a fever, and like classical music…it works)
The Harry Potter films (yes, I know they’re not great) and even more the audiobooks (as read by Stephen Fry) so soothing.
Jeeves and Wooster (happy, silly comedy)

I told my mom Disney movies made me feel less homesick, so she started sending me some. The first ones she sent? The Fox and the Hound, Dumbo, and Bambi. They didn’t help much with the homesickness. Thankfully the next ones she sent were musicals.
My number one go to comfort movie is the old cartoon version of the Hobbit though.

Home Alone, I used to love watching that movie over and over again as a kid, Dirty Dancing- seen it at least 10 times, Meet The Parents-that movie was hilarious, The Notebook, even though I have seen it several times it still brings tears to my eyes!

Taiki: I love the Harry Potter movies! Definitely great to me!
Jabberwocky: I’ve been on a Disney movie binge lately. Watched The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast in 24 hours.
fascinated: I LOVE August Rush, though it makes me sad for so much of the movie.
