Tacos, various kinds of baked chicken that all taste pretty much the same, burgers, meatloaf, breakfast (French toast or pancakes with all the fixings). We're totally boring too. It's just easier to throw together something familiar after a long day at work.

We're always making the same stuff too. Brown rice pasta w garlic, broccoli and parm. Flat bread pizza w assorted veggies and mozzarella. Curried veggies with brown rice, or stir fried veggies with brown rice. Tomato soup and grilled cheese. Bean and veggie minestrone soup with garlic bread. We love heavy snacks for dinner, too, like homemade bean dips and pita bread, and fresh salsa and chips. Haha, I'm vegetarian if you can't tell!

    Fried Rice

Udon Noodle soup (I stockpile the frozen noodles/canned chicken stock and rummage through to find veggies and frozen foods as toppings)

Pasta of sorts (I usually keep a jar of Costco's pesto on hand so we eat a lot of protein + pesto cream pasta)

    Pan roasted fish

    Oven roasted veggies

-Homemade Lasagna (takes a while, but it's so good and it lasts us forever. You can even freeze it and save some for later)

    http://annies-eats.com/2010/01/04/classic-lasagna/

    -Tacos

    -Fajitas

-Taco soup  (Seriously the EASIEST RECIPE EVER, and SO DELICIOUS)

    http://sixsistersstuff.blogspot.com/2011/09/black-bean-taco-soup-freezer-meal.html

    -Homemade Chili

    -White Chicken Chili

    http://www.howto-simplify.com/2010/03/white-chicken-chili.html

(It's really good if you top with sour cream, avacado, and cilantro)

-Paremsan Chicken with Avacado on top (SO YUMMY! YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS!)

    http://ellenaguan.blogspot.com/2011/11/avocado-chicken-parmigiana.html

-Pasta (any sort, usually with ground turkey or chicken)

-Homemade pizza (I make dough in the bread maker)

-Stroganoff (looks gross, but super easy and yummy)

We don't really do any sort of frozen meals or instant cooking, but most of these meals are pretty quick and easy to make. These are the actual recipes that I use.

    Lettuce Wraps

Spaghetti with a sauce made of cherry tomatoes and basil

Chicken or Steak with salad and cous cous as sides

    Grilled everything in the summer

We tend to get hooked on trends, and I'll make random dishes that sound good to me that will last for a couple days.  I always love leftovers, but he HATES them, so it can be difficult.  I feel like I should say "I'm making this dish and eating it for the next few days.  If you don't want any after today, you can make your own dinners!" but that would be mean, right?

@vickyness:  THis is my own recipe, but i won a chili  bake-off with it, so it's got to be good!

Brown 1 lb ground beef (we use turkey) with chopped onion (about 1/2-3/4 an onion) in a little bit of butter. Add lots of salt, pepper, and garlic.

Pour overtop 1 can tomato sauce, 1 can tomato paste, and 1 can fireroasted diced tomatoes (Hunts makes the best)

Mix together sauce and meat, add in two cans of beans. I use Kidney beans and Great Northern beans, but you could also use pinto beans or red beans.

Add one pack of chili powder and 1/2 a tsp of red chili powder (the spicy stuff)

Mix everything together, add in basil to taste (I do at least a teaspoon, probably more). Feel free to add more garlic powder as well.

let it simmer, and add a good tablespoon of brown sugar a couple minutes before serving. You might want to add more/less to taste, because some people like it sweeter than others. You can also add more/less of the spicy chili powder.

I serve mine with cheese, sour cream, and Fritos!!

    meat-veggie-potato/rice

    pasta with sausage marinara

pasta with tuna and olives marinara (fabulous for a Friday because most ingredients are non-perishables that we always have kicking around)

homemade soup---DH turns all of our leftovers into soup!
