Ours our Belle (for me) and Bug(for him). Not sure how they came about, but they stuck.

We have SOOOO many! The most common are Fred (me), and Woobie (him), but a few others are (in no particular order): honey, lover, Roo, Turnip, Sexy Professor, Shorty, muffin, rutabaga, Derf, pooper, smelly, poohead, “Mannitude” (a play off my Mum’s maiden name–when I get cranky–one her traits, lol), Poo(h), etc. The list goes on-and-on..

So many. Most are just variations of baby. But for some reason my FI always calls me his ‘little gray poupon’. He said he didn’t even know why he did, and we looked it up.. Turns out it’s some kind of mustard flavor. Hahahha, so weird.

And I call him Goomba, like from Mario Bros? Haha, because he gets grumpy and those mushroom guys always look cranky.

And then most recently, he’s Snoopy, I’m Woodstock… 😛 And we came up with this when I merged two words together and told him he was beign too snoopy. And it just bred from there.

He calls me Neetch (which is the only nickname I’ve ever liked) and I call him Grum. We basically don’t even use our real names anymore. We often embellish these nicknames though, he calls me Neetchalee, I call him Grumulus, etc. It’s kind of ridiculous.

These are shortened nicknames from the long ones we started with — I was Little Bear, then Little Nietzsche Bear, then Neetch. And his is out of me calling him Grumbly Bear. And now when one of makes jokes about how I could be pregnant, we refer to our unborn child as “baby bear”. We’re kind of ridiculous people when it’s all laid out like this.

They’re all relatively embarassing. Somehow baby –> bebe –> meme –> minker and then it just spiraled out of control with every form of minker we can think of, such as Minkerdoodle and Captain McMinkerton.

@brighteyedgirl:  I’m a Fred, too! Once, the fiancé’s son kept asking me questions, starting each one with “Erin”. In like five minutes, he’d asked me two dozen questions. I finally said, “Erin? Who’s Erin?” For a while, we had him convinced that my name was Fred. …or so we thought. The next day, he wrote me a note that started:

Dear “Fred”,

Yes, that’s right. Quotation marks and all. It cracked me up. Now we all joke around and I get called Fred a fair bit. But that’s okay. I like it.

No nicknames for the fiancé, though. But we call his son as a lot of different things, sometimes to him, sometimes when talking about him. Like Mowgli (man cub), demon child, Baezelbastion, my mom calls him Trouble, poopface (it’s my go-to “insult” when we’re “trash talking” each other during board games). And so on.

DH calls me Hazelnut Smile, I have hazel eyes. Sometimes he calls me Harold and I call him Maude because we’re the opposite of the movie (he’s the older man I’m the younger woman).

We watched a movie once where the couple’s pet name for each other was “poopy doo”.  That cracked us both up and now I call him that sometimes, mostly to annoy him  🙂  For real though, he calls me sweetie, I call him sweets.

Slice of pizza (me) and Puddin Butt (him) are the only two that have actually stuck. I have huge freckles on my boobs and my skin is extremely white, so he says it looks like cheese on a pizza. XD

I dont know why I call him Puddin Butt. I just did one day and it stuck.
