    Hi all,

I am 3 months away from our wedding. I really need to kick up my exercise (which has been pretty much non existent recently!), eat better, and start doing all of the little beauty things I've been putting off. I've been washing my face every morning and night, tanning once a week (bad, I know), but are any of you doing bi-monthly pedicures and manicures or facials or massages regularly? Also, what foods should I be avoiding and/or eating to help with lean muscle growth and to avoid bloating. Finally how much water are you all drinking?

Can't WAIT to read all of your routines and advice! Thank you!

Hi! Congrats on getting motivated. I'm just starting my health kick today too, after weeks (months?) of making excuses.

Definietly avoid refined carbs - white bread and pasta, sugar etc. They are just empty calories and don't benefit your body at all. And reduce salt intake to cut down bloating and water retention. I hope to be following a mostly "real food" way of eating, or at least a modification of it that suits me. So for me this will be lots of fruit, veggies, low fat dairy (be careful with yogurt, these are often full of sugar or artificial rubbish - I only eat the pot-set natural yogurt which contains milk and cultures only - it is so good with frozen raspberries!), wholegrain bread, eggs and lean meat and fish.I am avoiding most pre-pracked food, and those with added sugar and crazy additives

I am in now way implying this is the best thing to do, but I know it will work best for me. There are other methods which would probably work quicker (eg. no carbs) but these aren't always healthy and sustainable in the long term.

Exercise-wise I'm hoping to get back to the gym, and restart the C25K program. At least 3 times a week for each.

Beauty-wise I've never had a manicure or pedicure and might not even bother doing so for the wedding. Haven't decided yet. I've considered getting some facials done beforehand but as far as I have foud they are very expensive and I don't think I can afford that sort of thing.

Good luck with it all! Keep me updated on your progress!

I am not doing much different as far as mani/pedi and facials go- I get them at least once a month already. I already wash my face twice daily with an extra gentle cleanser, moisturize every other day, and use a benzoyl peroxide wash one or twice a week.

I am drinking a ton of water now, though, and eating more fresh fruits and veggies. I started taking the dog on longer walks (30 minutes minimum). I plan to restrict my diet about a month before the wedding- only about 25% refined carbs and lower fat. I might start an stricter excercise plan, but we'll see.

I am also just a few months away and I've found that all of the time with wedding plans (plus work and school) have made it harder to hit the gym.  I need to step up my cardio big time!

Here's what I'm doing:  pilates (1x week), weight lifting (4x week), cardio (1x week).  I'm also cutting back on my diet soda (I'm addicted!), drinking more water, taking my vitamins, adding extra protein into my diet.

What I plan to do in the next few weeks:  Pick up an extra pilates session, 2-3 more cardio workouts per week, cut back on sugars.

My dress already fits perfectly so I'm not actually worried about weight-loss, but I just know that if I can lose a bit of my tummy/ tone up some more, I'll feel more confident on the big day!

Started using a Clarisonic once a day with cetaphil for my skin, usually at night.  Then I massage pure coconut oil into my skin before bed.

I eat a high protein meal at noon and it keeps me full until the evening.  Breakfast is usually yogurt.  I eat fresh berries as a snack.  Usually have a smaller meal for dinner and then have a treat with FI - usually a few bites of his dessert of choice.

I drink a few bottles of water a day, and some diet soda.
