Ahhh! Another cake bride! Yay, we should compare notes. :) I'm doing a slightly scaled down trial next week.
So, my list thus far is: cake, centerpieces, STDs, favors (not sure what yet, though) and possibly table runners if I get ambitious.

That sounds faaaaaabulous. Do you have a theme for your wedding?
I'm doing one full-on two tier round wedding cake (hopefully, I'm trying my first dowel, cake board, whole nine yards experience next week!) and then a handful of regular layer cakes that'll have little flavor cards by them, and do it kind of buffet style so people can choose what they want. I thought that'd be a lot of fun, and I just couldn't bring myself to shell out $700-$1,000 for a cake from a bakery that I would be hypercritical of anyway.
Our theme really depends on what venue we get... we're not locked in yet, just have a few in mind, but we're going for artsy urban with rustic hints. This is our first choice venue right now:

Cake! You guys are crazy!! I found a good deal for $2.50 per slice otherwise I might be doing the same :) I am doing invitations, flowers, centerpieces, runners, napkins, favors, those flower balls for the aisle, a swag for my archway, and that's all for now :) Share pics if anyone has them...

I think that's all, but I'm sure there are somethings that I have forgotten.
Save the Dates, Centerpieces, Bride Bouquet, Bridesmaids' Flowers, Garters, Ring Bearer Pillow, Cake Topper, Cake "Bling" for around the tiers, Oversized pic for the guests to sign, Card Holder, Bath Salts for Bridesmaids, and Programs.
I won't make a list... but everything. From GROWING my own flowers for the entire shebang to roasting a whole hog to designing our website.
I need to be thinking of what I'll do for a creative outlet once this is over!! :)
