I think extreme anything is pretty silly.  “One who is too insistent on her own views, finds few to agree with her.” -LaoZi

How do you define ‘extreme’ feminism?

I try to only get offended by things that are meant to be offensive, or are thoughtless. Beyond that, I try to get over myself. It doesn’t always work!

    Big fan.

If the Rush Limbaughs of the world ever refer to me as a “femi-nazi,” I will judge myself to have done something right.

I don’t get it- why would being called a “gal” be offensive?  It’s like the female equivalent of “guy”, a casual word for a man.  …

I don’t understand the need for extreme feminism unless you live in a backwards country where women are literally treated like second class citizens. If I was one of those acid attack victims, lost my sister to an “honor” killing, was sold off to a man 10 times my age, discarded at birth because my parents really wanted a son, forced to wear a burqa, was forbidden to get an education, had to walk behind my husband at all times, was not allowed to socialize with any males outside my family, was afraid to tell anyone I was raped for fear of being stoned to death because my country agrees that it is always the woman’s fault… do you really think I’d give half a flying fuck that your privileged ass only earns 60 cents to the dollar of what a man gets paid? Really? Think long and hard about that femi-nazis and get off your freaking soap box.

@letselopetoeurope53:  eck nt my forte but without extremists there wouldn’t have been any change in the US so I understand the need but dnt force it on me or anyone else and def dnt belittle others that disagree

@letselopetoeurope53:  I’m sorry if my wording was crude but it’s an issue I feel very strongly about. As a woman I don’t want to be represented by people like that.

Can we please, PLEASE stop attacking the woman who was upset by the address?  This whole website is about first world problems.  She made a valid point, and to her it is extremely upsetting.  It’s okay to disagree with her, but to dismiss her, continue to attack her (especially in a passive aggressive way), and act as though her ONE issue is the MOST ridiculous one is rude, and only furthers the problem.  When women silence other women it makes things WORSE, not better.
