I live in St. Louis, MO and this was a quote sent to me from Whole Foods. They will arrange, it is included in the price.
Here is the breakdown:
1 Brides Bouquet: partially wrapped stems, 24-30 blooms, consisting of Garden Roses, standard roses, carnations and baby’s breath- $70
4 Bridesmaids Bouquets: partially wrapped stems, 12-18 blooms, consisting of garden roses, standard roses and carnations- $40 each
Boutonnieres: estimated 1 Groom, 3 groomsmen, 5 mens, 5 womens, $6 each
25 tables, 3 bottles per table- 1 garden rose, one babys breath, one carnations- $4 per table
So our total would be $414 before tax. The only other flowers we may need are for ceremony decorations. She mentioned also that we could replace some flowers with spider mums and that would be cheaper.
I know nothing about flowers nor their prices. Does this sound reasonable? Anything I should ask or raises a red flag? Thanks bees!

@Skittles131: Sounds like an amazing deal..! My bouquet alone was almost $300

@louisianablue: that’s what I thought…with the total especially. I am pretty clueless though about flowers!
@romantical: wow! $75 sounded like a good chunk of change, but that’s nothing compared to 300!

@Skittles131: ask how many garden roses vs. carnations you’d be getting. Carnations are really cheap ~$0.40 stem, roses ~$1 stem, and garden roses ~$3 stem retail. So if your getting only 2 garden roses, a dozen regular and the rest carnation then $70 I would consider high For the bridal bouquet.

@Goofball: thanks for the tip! I will be sure to ask! I knew there was something you bees would catch that I should ask. What would I do without you?!

Agreed – Sounds like a great deal!!!

@coffeeloverbee: yay, I’m excited!
I just emailed her back asking about how many of what type of flower will be included in the bouquet. I’ll post back on this thread if anyone is interested 🙂

That sounds amazing. I thought I had an amazing deal at 700, and that didn’t include table centerpieces (though it did include large floral pieces for the church)

These seem extremely low to me. My bouquet alone was $250 (although it was all peonies) and the BM bouquets were $75. I am unfamiliar with prices in your region of the country but definitely seems like a good deal.

Wow! Great deal! And from whole foods? Color me astonished!

That’s a GREAT deal. I have fewer guests than you and I went professional florist route (flowers were important to me) and for 1 bride’s bouquet, 1 boutonniere, and 10 centerpieces I’m $1000. Granted I also have some more exotic flowers

Good deal! I got my flowers from whole foods, too. They were awesome.

@Skittles131: I’ve heard whole foods has pretty good deals on their flowers, and the quote seems fairly reasonable. However, my entire flower budget was around $300 (including ceremony decor), so I’m pretty stingy when it comes to flowers lol.

@whoa_its_ash: I know, right?! I got the idea from the bee years ago just perusing and a bride had GORGEOUS flowers from them. She also said they didn’t charge for arranging because floral isn’t the store’s focus. It’s probably in the price somewhere, but no extra charge.
@housebee: Exactly! For a budget wedding, everything seems expensive! Our budget is $1,000 for flowers/decorations but that includes ALL decorations (like our centerpieces, lighting, etc.). So flowers will take a good chunk of that, which I figured it will. We are doing cheap/DIY centerpieces too and it doesn’t need much decoration otherwise..
