DH has a tungsten band as well because he's in LE. We actually got our bands from Amazon which saved us alot of $$$$. I'm not a jewelry gal nor is he so we went simple and durable.
My husband has a tungsten carbide ring & he loves it! He wears it to work & even has worked out in it (lifted weights.) There is no scratches what so ever on it!
It was 56 bucks at overstock.com & It is marked tungsten carbide on the inside of it. :-)

@techie: Amazon will be the death of me. Honestly.
Dh's band is very similar. We went to Sears to find out which style and size he liked and I purchased through Amazon. Everyone thought I was crazy but Sears is no pressure Sales. Why go to a jewelry store and do the song and dance when you know your going to purchase online.
My FI is picking out his own wedding band. He's very plain. He does not want diamonds or any sort of designs. He wants a 6mm comfort band with rounded edges. Here is an example. http://www.helzberg.com/nav/i/category/engagement+%26+wedding/wedding+bands/men%27s+wedding+bands/white+gold+wedding+ring+1760645/r/metal+color/white/n/4294967266/r/metal+content/14kt/n/4294967267.do?sortby=ourPicks
@techie: We just bought a coin ring for my fiancé but I don't know what metal it is.
@Mrs.Estep: Love it!
@ashleyyyg: Really nice. I considered rounded edges for my FI before he showed me something else.
FI picked out his own his own ring. It's a 4.5mm Platinum Lucida band.

FI wanted the simplest band we could find. He hasn't seen his yet, but he tried on a similar one at Jared's and loved it. He didn't care what kind of metal the ring was as long as it was not yellow gold and had no design on it. I ended up going with cobalt because it's lighter than tungsten and cheaper than white gold/platinum.
My fiance decided on tungsten as well. I felt terrible because my wedding bands are SO much more expensive but he insists he doesn't care. His band is really nice and I love it, but more importantly HE loves it! (it's not yellow tinted, that's just the lighting)

We have matching wedding bands; WG. I don't wear with my e-ring.
I still need to order it, but this is the one we picked out.
@techie: LOL Don't feel bad. Mine picked out that same one you posted. I then got my white gold band beveled to match his tungsten one.
Can someone post a non-professional photo of a tungsten band? One that is not "brushed"?
Thanks!
@hautebride: What do you mean not brushed? As in photoshopped?
& The one I posted was took with my digital camera. Here is another one closer up. took with my digital camera.

My FI picked his ring out, he chose tungsten becuase he works in a refinery-and we got it for free from a jeweler we regulary go to, so yay!
My FI recently chose a 14K white gold, because it is supposed to be more resilient/less prone to damage and scratches than 18K or platinum.
My friend's FI chose tungsten though because he works a lot with his hands and needed something SUPER resilient.
Honestly, I don't think I can even tell the difference!
@Mrs.Estep: Hi! The metal in MidnightSun's photo looks to be "brushed". I'm looking for a picture of a shiny tungsten ring - but do they exist? Where it just looks like a smooth WG or plat?
Thanks! xo
@hautebride: Let me help you with that. :-)

After weeks of researching platinum bands for my Fi, he revealed tonight that he prefers an inexpensive tungsten band that retails for less than $40, not because of the cost but because he's clumsy as hell (which he is :P ).
What have you all picked out?
