I think I splurge on the basics (primer, foundation, concealer) more than anything. I did recently purchase the Urban Decay Electric Palette on a whim and I find I use it a lot more than I thought I would!

I’m also a sucker for loofahs, lol.

MrsYokiman:  I have to admit I do have a good amount of beauty splurges – but I only splurge on things that I absolutely love and can see a difference when I don’t use them.

-Kerastase hair products (their hair masks are amazing, but expensive)

-Clarisonic Mia, I just love it and it’s like getting a mini facial everyday!

-Foundation, I use Chanel and I get compliments all the time how grat my complexion looks, when in reality I have a lot of acne scars from my teenage years that I have to cover!

-Mascara, Dior gives me the most dark, full, lush lashes and some think they are false 🙂

-Also a nail polish junkie because I just love changing up the colors frequently based on my mood, and I hate how salons only carry certain colors and don’t always have the popular ones. I splurge on Essie, Deborah Lippmann, Butter London, Marc Jacobs. Nail polish collecting has become a problem for me 🙂

The list could go on and on right now, but those are my current beauty vices! Would love to hear other bee’s splurges!

I do not wear make up or do anything with my hair (I am half black and so I just keep my super curly hair very short) but I spend money on WEN haircare as well as Origins line of skincare including a night cream, scrub, day cream and toner. Those are pretty much all my beauty items but they do cost a bit more than I would like.

I splurge on makeup and skin care…I’ve been on a Lush kick recently!  I love thier products because they’re all so natural and basic.  Most of my makeup is either Bare Minerals or Tarte, I’ve been trying to use makeup with more natural ingredients.  I also love Purology for my hair…it’s pretty spendy but it’s so concentrated that a little goes a long way.

I guess I splurge most on makeup–Tarte, Urban Decay, and Bare Minerals. I am scared of drug store makeup because my skin is so sensitive. The good thing is, I don’t wear much makeup on a day-to-day basis so it lasts a long time. I have BM eyeshadows from, like, 2009 (they never go bad!).

I splurge on certain hair products. I really like Mizani’s sprays and serums, It’s a 10 Miracle leave-in, and Redken’s Anti-Snap leave-in. I make a lot of my skincare products at home, so no splurging there.

OH and my flat iron. It was over $100, which is a lot for me, but it is ahhh-mazing on my naturally curly, thick hair.

Aveda shampoo and conditioner, and VS perfume and body lotion. I also love Designer Skin tanning lotion. All of these products last months for me, so I don’t feel bad splurging on them 2-3 times a year.

i splurge on bobbi brown eyeshadow palettes – i have 3 or 4 and love them – the colour payoff is amazing and they last for ages! sometimes polishes too – i’m a big deborah lippman fan. i also splurge on fragrance, guerlain and chanel are my favourites. silly splurges are aveda and molton brown lip balm – i could easily by blistex (and often do!) but those two are amaaaazing. oh – also aveda hair products, and vichy face wash.

these products aren’t all expensive per se, they just have much less expensive alternatives – but lots of them last ages and it’s nice to treat yo’self!

Is it bad that I don’t consider my current mid-range products to be splurges? They are friggin essentials, i tell you! haha My most expensive products are my GlamGlow YouthMud and ThirstyMud, and they are 100% worth every penny. I may splurge on my next foundation purchase and dabble in some Chanel or Armani. But it will take me a long time to get through my current foundation supply, so I may change my mind by then. They have such cult-like followings that it piques my interest.

MrsYokiman:  I love it!  I have Ultrabland (my favorite!) for removing makeup, Cosmetic Lad for a moisturizer, and two cleansers- I’m blanking on their names right now.  One is in bar form and the other is an exfoliator.  The exfoliator is super gentle and uses almonds and lavender, along with lots of other good stuff.  Makes my skin feel super soft!

Ohhh I also forgot I love Philosophy products. Their purity face wash is the best, and takes off water proof makeup soooo easy. And their moisturizer and under eye cream are awesome too. And the packaging is cute and I’m a sucker for cute packaging and anythign aesthetically pleasing to the eye! Also MAC anything. Lipsticks and eyeshadows are my favorite. Also Nars blush in “orgasm” — yup gives you that healthy rosey afterglow and “laguna” bronzer are the best! I didn’t realize how much of a beauty junkie I am! haha

If its going on my face, in my hair, or on my body.. I splurge. I think the only thing I use that comes from the drug store is a razor. I believe you get what you pay for, so I like to make sure when I’m spending money its on great quality products.

My guilty splurge would be skin care products! I have a Clarisonic, and I use Exuviance products.  I love their moisturizer, face wash, and serums!
