every morning and night i cleanse, moisturise ect and i have a standing appointment at a local day spa on the 3rd Thursday of every month for a facial and eyelash tint with and occasional wax (ive been waxing for so long that i have very min hairgrowth thankfully) and they usually throw in a free mini massage, last time was a head massage to die for!
im not a girly girl but im in the ocean most days so my poor skin needs it
edit: oh, and every 2 weeks i have a massage - i have a good health fund!
I used to get waxed every 3 weeks, but my ladt went up in price from $55 to $95 so I nixed that one!
I am trying to grow my hair out for my wedding, so I make sure to get it trimmed every month along with highlights and a brow wax.
I rarely get massages and facials, the one time I did get a facial it made me break out (I think it was from the extraction part- so maybe that was a good thing?).
MrsBee- not to get personal, but do you mean you don't shave anything at all? How European!!
I indulge in getting my hair colored, and cut. With a couple mani/pedis and eyebrow waxes over the year.
That's been one of the hardest things for me post-wedding: giving up beauty treatments. I got peels, microdermabrasian, regular cuts/highlights, and bi-monthly mani/pedis in the weeks leading up to the ceremony, and now that it's over I've had to stop (too expensive). It was nice while it lasted, though.
If I *could* indulge regularly, I'd definitely keep up the facial treatments and the pedis. I'd also get my eyebrows waxed regularly.
I do my own mani-pedis for the most part, but I do them weekly. I will occasionally splurge and get them done at the salon. I also get my hair cut/colored every 6-8 weeks (I'm desperate for a cut, but my stylist is on vacation!). I only had one facial with disasterous results, so I never went back. I usually do my own masks at home, maybe once every other week. I do my own waxing (and shave my legs everyday), mostly because I haven't found a good recommendation for an esthetician in town. I have sensitive skin, so I'm hesitant to go somewhere I don't know well for waxing.
fabulouslyengaged - I am very hairless, so I don't have to shave my legs. I only have a couple armpit hairs, so I pluck those with a tweezer.
Oh! How nice that must be!! Thanks for explaining. I know it was a bit much of me to ask, but I just couldn't imagine you running around with hair everywhere... you simply didn't seem like the type! You're just too feminine!!! :-)
The only things I'm very regular about are threading (my whole face because I am frighteningly hairy) and haircuts. I also get highlights a couple of times a year and an occasional massage or facial. When I first got engaged, I had this whole fantasy of getting massages and facials on a regular basis up until the wedding, but I haven't had the time! Oh well, it's probably been a good thing for my wallet.
I like to get regular mani/pedis, massages every couple of months, and I am always trying new cosmetics. A big indulgence is eyelash extensions...it's expensive but the results are so worth it! I usually try and schedule them during a time when I have a lot of events or over the holidays, to get the most milage out of them. I never get facials (I am afraid my skin wouldn't react well) and I don't let anyone touch my brows!
I regularly have manicures and pedicures done every two weeks and have my hair trimmed or cut every 3 months. I don't get facials or massages very often... maybe once a year or every other year, if that. I'm pretty self-sufficient in doing all the other girly-upkeep myself.
oh, and Jessie516 just reminded me every wednesday i us a rose petal exfoliant and every weekend i apply a mask. geez i sound high maintance but i suffer from rosacea (facial redness) that can get out of control if i dont take care of myself
@mrsbee hotw nice that must be! If I miss shaving my legs for one day I'm prickley!
I've waxed in the past (the thought makes me cringe) but I absolutely hate the growout period, and in the summertime growing out leg hair isn't all that attractive!
My great grandmother didn't shave a day in her life, and she said that around age 18 her leg hair fell out and never came back! Talk about true patience.

I rarely get my hair cut since I keep it long, I get a mani/pedi a couple times a year and don't do them myself, I don't get facials or massages, and I don't shave at all. The only beauty ritual I regularly indulge in is getting my eyebrows threaded.
Hmmm and I thought I was pretty girly. I do love makeup though!
What beauty rituals do you regularly indulge in?
