I see a lot of posts about body shapes and dresses, but what body shape are you according to this calculator?
http://www.shopyourshape.com/calculate-your-body-shape.html
Pear. I'm a hip and butt girl. I don't have much up top! Although I do have somewhat broad shoulders, so I'm not a dramatic pear by any means.
Pear. *sigh* Thank goodness I have broad shoulders to counterbalance them a bit.
I am assuming I'm a spoon? Is that the same as an apple?
Basically, I hold all my weight is my gut. Ugh!
So the calculator said I was pear, buttttt I'm top heavy. So I hit refresh and did it again and it said I was straight. computer glitch?
My whole family is pear shaped! Big hips and and butts! Thankfully I am a little smaller than most of them but with aunts and mother and cousins being over 250 lbs and more, I am teeny tiny being 145 lbs.
commenting so i can find later. ill do this when i get home.
i feel like i never fit into any of the standards, so i'm curious what category ill be put into!
@missrobots: Me too, I hate it! And they say that the fat around your stomach (I think it's called visceral fat) is the unhealthiest kind. Go us! (sarcasm)
I *WAS* a pear. I went on a diet and lost 3 inches in my hips. Now I'm an hourglass!
I looked everywhere for my measuring tape and I can't find it... posting so I can come back later when my DH gets back to me on where he put it lol.
It said I'm a pear but I have zero waist (bane of my existence) - like my waist is 27 and my hips are 34 and i gain all my weight in my middle, not in my butt and legs.
@SpecialSundae: I'd say an hourglass. I have some extra weight that I am trying to lose... like my tummy lol... but I have a butt, hips, and boobs... and a waist. I admit my waist isn't as defined as it could be right now just because my tummy is bigger than it should be, but I'd say hourglass describes me the best.
Straight. I knew it was straight before I even took the quiz. I've got a pretty large chest for my frame, a tiny waist, and no hips. The only area my dress has to be taken in is in my hips/butt! lol
I'm a pear/hourglass. I'm fat. I chose that option lol
I don't think I have a shape? I'm not really an hour glass because I'm not that curvy. When I gain weight, I gain evenly.
Pear though I'm not all that bottom heavy. My hips are only like 3" bigger than my bust.
Top hourglass. I'm very busty but have no hips, which tends to make me look like I'm going to fall over unless I dress myself correctly. Lot of a-lines for me!
I actually love the look of shapely, rounded, va va voom hips and wish I had them, a la Christina Hendricks. But I suppose the grass is always greener, or so they say.
I've gained weight. Used to be the hourglass shape, now I'm a pear. I've started working out though, hopefully I'll get back that hourglass
I'm a pear shape. The test said spoon, but I don't have the "shelf" they refer to so it really is more pear.
The calculations landed me in the "top hourglass" figure, but then the description doesn't match me at all (ie: saying my bust is bigger than my hips... errrrr 34A?)!!
Inverted triangle. =( I always knew I had nothing in the hip and butt department though. Although it says I have broad shoulders and I really dont think I do.
I've always been an hourglass shape no matter what size I was....smallest size 6, largest size 14. I started to put on weight on my tummy but the top and bottom both put on weight too....I guess it could be worse.
I'm an hourglass. 36-25-37.
When I'm out of shape and gaining weight, it tends to gravitate more towards my butt and lower tummy, so I might be a little pear-ish too.
I haven't a clue what I am according to that chart because for some reason it wouldn't pull up for me but I think I'm an hourglass. I have a definite waist to bust/ hip ratio and my measurements are 34-26-37, and those have been taken within the past month or so, so I would say fairly accurate.
I'm straight. My waist isn't well-defined. Weight gain usually goes straight to my belly. Boo.
I assumed I'd be a top hourglass, but I am a regular hourglass :) YAY!
It said I was pear shape. I measure at 33 25 35 kinda odd (I'm 5'5)
According to THIS I'm a pear, but real body shape comes from adding in shoulders, the shoulders are what balance the hips, not your boobs!! If you have large boobs but narrow shoulders and big hips you'll still look pear shaped from the front, silly calculator.
Hourglass here. But I'm a slightly squashed hourglass due to my broad shoulders, short torso and long legs.
I thank my lucky stars every day that I got my figure from my dad's side of the family. Every female on my mom's side (grandma, aunts, cousins, even my 2 sisters) is pear-shaped. The women on my dad's side come from a long line of stocky, childbearing, farming women. They all have strong, thick legs, boobs made for breast-feeding a herd of kids, and sturdy shoulders. Very salt-of-the-earth people.
I'm a pear right now, sigh. I have small boobs and a big butt/hips. I'm working on reducing the inches at my hips and thighs so I will be more proportional again.
