Ok, let me start by saying that I am not wearing a white dress. Our colors are purple and turquoise, and the wedding is in September, in Rochester NY, on a beach on lake Ontario. This is my dress. It’s technically a prom dress, but it’s made by Bonny Bridal. Someone suggested to me that since we will be outside for the ceremony, right on the water, in September, that it may get a little chilly, and I should consider a bolero. Which is a good idea. Bonny Bridal makes a Bolero that matches this dress color, that I could buy. But then, I thought it might be cool to wear a purple one, since those are our colors. Our bridesmaids are wearing purple dresses. Someone else also suggested that a silver bolero might look good with this dress. I have considered something sheer, but I’m not sure that would help much if it gets chilly.
Here is where all of you come in! HELP!!! Opinions?

if it were me I think I’d go with the one that matches…def not sheer, you are up north farther than me and with the way the weather has been acting lately I’m worried about temps for my day on June 8 LOL
I guess I might consider the purple one if I could see a pic of it with your dress…

@joyfulgirl9682: You go, girl. Love that individual style. Silver, or matching, I’d say.

@joyfulgirl9682: I’d also add a note that you might be sweating or hot from nervousness, so you might not need that bolero overall.
I just also thought of this — maybe a netted wrap in the same color, that you can lay around your shoulders and arms.

Silver if you’ll be having silver accessories or matching.

I think silver would make you stand out and would look stunning!

I would go with silver or the matching colour. Doing purple may look just too “matchy matchy” which I’m really not a fan of. Plus it may not compeletly match the colour of your BMs dresses and look off.

I’d go with the matching color. I love your dress!
