I'm wearing my Dansko sport clogs and Chacos... Those are the only 2 pairs that fit right now!
Invest in a really comfy pair of shoes... You won't regret it for the rest of your pregnancy. You'll weep with joy when you look at them, and you won't begrudge a single penny of the expense...
I have some aerosole dress sandals and 2nd Danskos. Yes, Danskos cost more, but they last forever if you do maintenance.
I'm not preggers yet but my friend highly recommends Merrells during pregnancy.. she says they are worth the $$ becuase they have so many pairs you can just slide right into, which according to her is crucial not only during pregnancy but also after. I can vouche for how comfy Merrell's are, and if you happen to have an outlet near you (which we do in the Boston area, not sure how many there are) they are less expensive!
Well you didn't specifically ask this but I wear compression socks when I fly or take decent length car rides. This helps keeps swelling down and keeps you more comfortable in general. I have a pair I bought over the counter at the drug store and I just bought a nicer more spendy pair from a sports company. I don't swell often - but it's just plain uncomfortable when I do - so I try to be proactive when traveling.
And Shoes. I SWEAR by my Chaco flip flops. I wore them for 3 days straight (not preggo) at an outdoor festival last summer (camping and standing/walking ALL DAY) - and my feet didn't hurt, my back didn't hurt, nothing. They are the BOMB. I even bought another pair.
I also swear by Keens. So comfy. I would think Merrel's fall in this same line of comfort. I know Keens can be 'granola'ish' but they feel so good.
I will say days when my feet swell a bit even flip flops can be a little snug - but they haven't gotten so bad as to be uncomfortable yet.

Hi Bees,
I'm currently looking for a comfy pair of flats that aren't too sporty, nor too 'granola' looking (if you know what I mean). I am almost through my first trimester and will be traveling and need a good pair of shoes that will last. The problem is I'm frugal.
Any ideas? Any favorite brands? Any favorite shoe websites?
Thanks!
