I wrote a post several days , maybe a week ago about knowing when to call Weddingbee quits— and I received many great responses! Future brides saying that they need veterans to give advice, married Bees saying it has become such a close community that they couldn’t leave. So– what are YOUR reasons why you love the Bee, visit it and post? Is it just for wedding – related discussions? Nesting feedback? The overall conversation that occurs on the main board? Do you like getting unbiased answers to your questions? For those of you who frequent pother forums, is there a unique aspect of this community you enjoy?

Well, some time ago I was feeling a little bit down because all my friends seem to be getting married or propposed to and I am still waiting… I did a google search and weddingbee popped up. At first I used to just read the boards but lately I joined the site.

I stayed because I love the community. I made really good friends with a lot of ladies who got married around the same time as me and I wanted to stick around and see where life took everyone. Then when those same ladies started having babies, I really knew I had to stick around.
Now I’m a hostess, so you guys are stuck with me for a long time! lol

Just out of curiosity— how does one become a hostess? Does it have to do with post counts, involvement, etc?

@Mrs_Amanda: Honestly, I just submitted the application after a couple people encouraged me to do so and a couple months later they sent me an e-mail welcoming me to the hostess team 🙂 This explains more about it, feel free to submit an application if you’re interested!!
