I want to start looking for a cute topper for the cake... What is everyone else going with? Or what do you guys have your eyes on?
Loving all the etsy creations, flowers are cute and inexpensive...
Anything untraditional like mini Gi Joe and Barbie dolls or something?
Can't wait to see what all you Bees are doing!
I made ours! =) Even made one of our bridal party for the candy buffet 'candy tower'

I actually didn't buy any cake toppers for ours. We had the baker make an artist's palette with art supplies. It's weird but it truly represents who we are. We love are and we have painted pieces together.

@stephinPA and artsprout: Aren't they the cutest?! We weren't originally even going to do a topper, but those are perfect and so "us"! A little price-y but they can go on a shelf or something after the wedding :o)
@hotchild - they are great. And it made me rethink what I really want as our cake topper. Our dogs are such a super huge part of our lives and maybe this is a good way to have their 'presence' at our wedding. But then our wedding is also over halloween weekend so my original plan was to go with something like Dawn of the Dead as a wedding topper. AHH! I hate making decisions.

When I started planning, I had a specific theme but as I kept planning my goal was to make this wedding about us. So there were things within the wedding that represented either him or I. This cake was definitely one of them. We represent the top, the middle is me and the bottom is him.
@krissycake I love the idea of doing one of the bridal party!
My mom made our cake toppers (as well as the cake) and matched our actual outfits, which I thought was adorable!

We found a K at a local store for $7. I couldn't pass that up. We will place some flowers around the monogram as well.
I never really found the "right" custom one in etsy or online, so when I found the groom it was just perfect! BUT, they always paired the groom with some pissed off looking bride... well, that's so not the case... and the other day I finally found the perfect bride!
So, can't wait to see them when they come!

I have a robot tattoo on my forearm and when I met my FI, I was singing in a band and my nickname became Jenbot...so that name has stuck with me. It's actually become a pretty funny thing with us, and so perfectly, I found these!
(just so happens that my FI is a bass player and photography runs in my family, so the second one fits well :)
