Do you mean table numbers, or escort cards?
I wasn't particularly creative with either, but here they are:

i meant the ones you put on the table so when people get their place card saying Table 2, they know which table is table 2
BUT i am an idiot - i just went back onto the knot store and saw a section called "table markers" LOL. right next to where i bought my place cards!
so how about an opinion or advice?
this is my centerpiece (rose petals will be look nicer than seen here - this was my first trial)
what table markers would go with them?
We used a vellum type wrapping around a floating candle and incorporated it into our table centerpiece. See the picture on the right side----next to the flowers.
Love your centerpiece, PurpleUnicorn! It's lovely, and simple. I'm a bit partial to lavender and silver, myself. :)
I'm not actually doing table numbers, but I really like SapphireSun's idea of using small picture frames. You can find them in a zillion different styles and colors, and they're usually pretty inexpensive. For the number, you can do something as simple as just printing out a plain number to cut and fit into the frame, or go really fancy and decorate the heck out of it, and either way will look really nice. Plus, you can use the frames later for actual pictures, or even gifts.
Maybe you could go with something like these (both were found on Etsy...search for heart table numbers):

My colors are chocolate and tiffany blue. So I'm creating dark chocolate numbers on a blue base! A sample is in the pic below!
these are all awesome ideas, thanks everyone!
@melisslp: i thought about something heart shaped, but wonder if it would take away from the heart shaped centerpiece itself? like would it be too much heart?
@purpleunicorn - You're quite welcome! I'm at home sick tonight and enjoy helping others when I can.
What about a small lumie such as the one below, but with table numbers on it?

Or
What about "love" table number holders instead of the hearts?

If you're doing wine on the tables, I've seen people put a wrap with a number on them. Like this:

Just have to hope everybody remembers where their table is AFTER they've hit the wine.
ooh I like the wine bottles! And the wooden numbers! I'm not going to have any idea what to do when I finally HAVE to make a decision:)

any creative or non-creative ideas - i have no idea! all i see online (where i do most of my wedding shopping!) are place holders, like where I write the guests names the table they are sitting at. but what about table markers (is that what they are called)
what are you doing for yours?
