My mom keeps a vase in the bathroom that has glossy/painted rocks and pussy willows (fake) in it - looks really nice and there's no upkeep!
I should probably clarify. The bathroom is more of a kids bathroom. Not that it can't have fake flowers in there, but if there are any more playful ideas, I'd love to hear those too!
@artbee: Ohh lol.. does the bathroom have a theme? Have the kiddies decorate pinwheels to stick in there or something
I have a vase filled with that potpourri that people leave on open plates...agh I don't know the name, and I can't find a picture! I bought a mix with pinecones and different "balls" in it and they smell nice. If that made ANY sense.
@mannarose630: That would be super cute! No theme, just very colorful. And she's 2 1/2 months, so it would just be a mommy project for now :)
Not sure how big your vase is but even this looks way adorable - just one giant pinwheel. :) I've also seen fake flowers made with buttons, paper plates, cotton balls -- anything that makes it look like a kid craft will be really cute. Yay for mommy projects!! (In allll your free time with a toddler I'm sure lol :P )
And by toddler I meant infant -- since I read quickly and didn't see "months" in your post... oopsie
lots of things you could do! I find that with a little spray paint, you can turn almost anything into a kid-type item.
What about collection branches from outside then spray painting them the color in your bathroom?
Or: spray painted pine cones
vase full of buttons
vase full of alphabet letters
vase of scrabble pieces
broken crayons
Acorns..
the options are endless!

Besides flowers?
Anything? I have 2 white vases with that fake grass stuff in them. One in my bathroom, one on the mantel. Both I made fabric flowers for, but I don't love it. I have a baby, so taking the time out to keep fresh flowers just won't happen right now. Anybody have any creative ideas for what I can do with them? You bees always have the best solutions!
