I got these favour boxes for our beach wedding, but I’m not sure what to put in them. I hate useless ‘trinkety’ favours, and I always like to get edible favours myself. So, I want to give something edible, but I’m afraid chocolate would melt in this tropical heat. What would be a good, delicious favour??
The boxes are about 2.5″ wide

Cookies with a sanddollar or polkadot theme?

Some type of popcorn or cookie?

how about a fortune cookie??? Is that enough? I feel like u would get it free in a Chinese restaurant anyway…..I saw some really nice looking decorated ones, but I can’t order them, I’m not in the US, and it’s a logistics headache to get them here….(in one piece)
I think they’re a bit small for popcorn, although the pic makes them look gigantic…LOL

I like the sand dollar box, way cute!
A family member of mine did chocolate/sprinkle dipped fortune cookies for her favors. They were really cute, but it might melt.
What about hard candy?

hard candy, nuts, dried fruit, salt water taffy?

I LOVE @JamaicaBride’s suggestion of salt water taffy, makes me think of a tropical, beachy location!
Maybe you could put get a palm tree or sand dollar cookie cutter and make 1-2 small cookies to put in and then add a cookie cutter in the box or tied to the handle? Something delicious and something guests can take home and reuse that isn’t trinkety, it’s practical.
Also maybe life savers since they look like well life savers and your wedding is by a beach and there are boats?

Shortbread rounds with a sanddollar pattern stamped on top!
I am so in love with shortbread. Butter, sugar, and flour… it doesn’t melt, and it’s AMAZING!

Oh man, there are too many good options. But I have never in my life ever tasted salt water taffy…we don’t have that here. I’ve only seen it on tv, food network, and I always imagined it was salty, but I guess it’s not???
I love shortbread too, or maybe some of those Mexican cookies the ones rolled in the powdered sugar?? I can probably get those without too much hassle….Since we’re only 1 hour away from Mexico…
