Hey everyone! I am having a hard time picking colors for my bridesmaids’ bouquets. The color scheme for my wedding is, ivory, gold and chocolate brown. Originally, I was going to have the girls have ivory roses for their bouquets, but my Future Mother-In-Law, thinks the BM’s shouldn’t have the same color as me. Now, I am thinking about purchasing the brooch bouquet shown here:
I still do not know if my FMIL’s rules applies now. Either way, I don’t want the ladies to have too dark of a bouquet because their dresses are this color:
Please help me!!!!

i think that the ivory roses will look gorgeous against the plum dresses!! Nevermind what your Future Mother-In-Law says, I think they are the perfect choice.

I would go with the roses… The broch bouquets are nice… but with so much brown I don’t think that the silver in the bouquets comlement the dresses very well (If they weren’t silver, and a bronze or another metal it might look better)

@auggiefrog: I was thinking the same thing! That is another thing I am conflicted about…my dress is ivory, but it has crystal embellishments. I want a bouquet that is going to match my dress and still fits into my color scheme. I don’t think a gold metal in the brooch would look nice with my dress either. Maybe we can all have ivory rose bouquet, and I an have crystal embellishments on the end? I don’t know!!!

I would also go with the roses. The bouquet is gorgeous but the silver wouldn’t go as well with the brown.

who died and made your Future Mother-In-Law the queen of style? get what you want. i think the ivory roses would look very nice against your BMs’ dresses. if you feel you must, maybe mix some gold in, but i wouldn’t do brown. only do the clutches if you want to…that would be a neat, different look, but if it’s not what you’re looking for, don’t do it just to make your Future Mother-In-Law happy.

What about this kind of brooch bouquet? Will it match better?

I think it’s totally fine if your girls have the same color bouquet as you – say you all used ivory roses, and just make your bouquet bigger than the others.
Or you could maybe mix a few “black” calla lilies into each of your BMs’ bouquets. They’re actually a deep reddish/purplish/brown shade and could add a nice contrast to the ivory roses, and it wouldn’t be too dark with the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses if you just used a few in each bouquet. I can’t think of any other dark reddish/brownish flowers though…

I really like the brooch bouquet, it’s lovely! And ivory roses for the ladies would totally complement that. Go with what you want!
