I don't think you have to stick with your wedding colors as long as you're in the same family.
My friend wore a red flower in her hair and it looked hot!
OOO that IS HOT! I love it.
I had that same bracelet as your friend, by the way! She must be cool, too =]
Go with something that fits in the family but I say no to the creamy colors. Chinese colors are bright and vibrant; pastels/sherberts may look weird.
What about fuscia/orange colors? with some yellow? Then it matches, but the fuscia brings it towards the red without matching your lips?
I love that red flower!!! Do you know where she got that? We're doing brown and red. I would love a brown flower too or is that too poopy? lol Brown is my go to color but I always feel like some people think its boring!
I like the red flowers too and I'm not really a red person.
I'm curious why you can't wear white though, would you share? :)
i wasn't sure if bright orange would work.. but fuschia is an idea..i hadn't thought of that.. hmm.. must go home and experiment.
re white in hair: i was told growing up that you wore a white ribbon or flower in your hair as a sign of mourning, so we were always forbidden to do that.
thanks ladies!
Not bright orange, like neon...but something a little bold. If not, I think fuscia is just lovely by itself.
Yeah, nobody wants to be a mourning bride =]
i love the idea of hair flowers - i think i will be going with a color to match my dress though - cream, white, off-white. Something that will blend in, since the flower itself will stand out.
How about brown with feathers? Feathers would add movement and keep it from being boring.
I actually love the idea of a buttery yellow. I think that would look so cheerful and gorgeously compliment your hair, coloring, and bright pop of red lipstick.
i think i'm going to have to look for fabric samples and hold it up to my hair w/ lipstick on.. thanks for all suggestions tho.. keep them coming!

i'd like to swap my veil for a hair flower during the reception but am struggling to pick a color. for cultural reasons, it can't be white or off-white, so i'm getting something done to order (all colors are possible)
my wedding colors are orange, yellow and brown (for accents). i'm of chinese descent so fair complexion, dark hair. i'm going with more dramatic makeup, including bright red lipstick.
what do you think might work against my hair, but not clash with my lipstick? a butter yellow? dark cream? pale orange (think when you mix your orange creamsicle together)? do i have to stick with my wedding colors?
