I'm looking for some inspiration for my kitchen. Right now it's blue, which I am not crazy about. DH is not much help :) What colors have you used?
Ours is yellow (we bought the house recently and that's how it came) and we've used a few red accents (dish towels, etc). At first I thought it was a tad bright, but I really do like it now! Oh, and the floors and counters were redone just before we got the house also; they are brown. The appliances and cupboards are white. Soooooo yellow, brown, white, and red. I swear, it looks nice, lol.
Herbal Garden is what we have in our kitchen, with medium toasted cabinets. You can kind of see it in this pic, before the room was completed. Looks more gray toned than it is, the color sample above is more true to tone. Its really pretty :) OH, and its Behr paint

Very pale yellow. I don't really typically like yellow, but I think it looks really good in the kitchen. We also have a lot of exposed brick, so it goes well.
I have yellow, too! Love it because it brightens up the walls. I don't like dark walls in a kitchen. Plus, there are so many pretty shades of yellow! What colors have you been thinking of changing the walls to? What color blue do you have now?
Mine is blue but it used to be yellow (well, it was an unfortunate pink in between). The blue is better than the yellow but we still haven't changed out the curtains or painted the trim to match, so my kitchen is definitely in it's awkward, "teenage" phase.
Ours is orange...we like to call it "Honey nut cheerio's" orange...super bright!
Very pale yellow. But there really isnt much wall space at all since the entire backsplash is tiled. I think its benjamin moore standish white.

That's pretty much it. I stuck with neutral colors for plates, towels, etc. Dark/light browns mostly.
Ours is beige on top with a wood chair rail and then chocolate brown on the bottom. All of our accents are red.
Ours is red - you can kind of see it in this picture though it's darker in the picture than in real life.

Here's a pic of our newly renovated kitchen (in May) with the yellow walls. You can see the yellow at the top. The other part of our kitchen has lots of yellow walls, but I don't have a pic, just this one.

Not sure yet! I'll let you know in a couple months when renovations are done! It's the one room I have no real color vision right now.
**This picture is from when we first moved in, it's VERY bare in this picture, but you can see the color better in this one without the wall and top of cabinets decorations.
It's a teal/blue. It changes color depending on the time of day because of the light (we have a lot of windows.). I like it because it's bright and different. SO wasn't sold at first but he's okay with it now. lol

** It's all one color, but you can see what I mean by the lighting lol
Very very light bluish gray. We didn't pick it but I love it in the room. I actually wish it ran through the whole house because it acts as a neutral. The other elements in the room are white cabinets, white trim, stainless appliances, a medium tone hardwood floor, and grayish/pinkish granite. I seriously love this color!
Thanks for all the input! And the pictures! You all have lovely kitchens :) Sounds like yellow is popular, which is one I've been considering. We've been living with the blue (a very dark navy) since we moved in, but we're thinking this winter might be the time to tackle it!
Neutral, with steel large appliances and cherry red small appliances. (cutlery/KitchenAid)
Ours is green- we did 2 shades from the same paint color card. Here's a pic from when we first moved in. Eventually we'd like to tile the backsplash a nice neutral and we're since gotten rid of those horrid green carpets!
Ours is green with chocolate brown cabinets. Here's a crappy phone picture, we also have wallpaper on one wall.
I never knew yellow kitchens were so popular! That's what my family had growing up and we plan on using white, lemon, and lime colors in our new apartment.
I like all of the pictures!
Here is a pic of our kitchen. Our paint colour is a taupey grey colour. This pic is from when we first moved so ignore some of the doors missing. We have them all now! : )

@kc3636: I LOVE your kitchen!! Pretty sure I want these exact colors in my next house!
Our apartment is older. Thus it has the brown walls all through out (besides the bathroom.) You can see it in this picture, but we did everything in apples.

ours is a soft beigey tan color. Other than our bedroom, this is my FAV room in the whole house!
Ours is a dark grey, with black, white and stainless steel accents. Our dining room kind of flows into it and it's a apple red. Love the combo!
@dcrr0528: We had that exact color in our kitchen at the last TH we rented. At first I wasn't crazy about it but I grew to love it. It's very pretty for in a kitchen and not something that's super common.
@CorgiTales: I love the green with your dark cabinets. That's more of the true to life shade we have in ours than my picture led on, and I'm not crazy about the color cabinets ours came with. I'd love to redo ours to look like yours.
Blue! When we bought the house I thought I'd hate the blue but I LOVE it.
@Eight6Eleven: I think it's a kitchen color as well, and I love it! I wouldn't say SO 'loves' it yet lol. I picked it because it's the kitchen color that was in the model home. So I knew what it would look like lol I think I might've even had the paint name and bought a couple gallons before the house was done being built.
You girls have some awesome kitchens!
We painted ours THREE times before finding a color we liked. It's a very grey blue. Our cabinets are white and we have black and grey granite counters andd stainless steel appliances.
@CorgiTales: Oooh, I love that colour! I'm moving soon so I'll be needing to paint my kitchen.
Mine is Yellow. Stoplight Yellow officially. Bright but I like it!
We have pale green walls and tiles, we have one red wall as a statement wall as it's our dining area. Goes together quite well but I don't have any photos at the moment..
Ours is chocolate brown with white cabinets and counters. Despite the dark walls, it feels very bright and clean in there because of all of the white, plus it is open to the rest of the living area which is beige. We love it.

@Eight6Eleven: my kitchen is just about the same color green. I think it was called avocado green. I have dark cherry wood cabinets. I'll post a picture when I get home tonight! I love green kitchens!
@krobbie: Thanks!! We like our colours as you feel good in them and dont get sick of them! We just add colour with accents!

on walls and in powder room. its a beautiful, rich color.
Our top cabinets are yellow, the bottom cabinets are green, and the back splash is white tile. It's very.... country chic.
