MrsYellowDaffodil:  I’ve been wondering the same thing. We are getting married in June (Australia) and theres a very good chance of rain. I’m trying to see if I can find a clear umbrella as they look great in the rain, and don’t take over the overall look. I haven’t had much luck finding a large one though.

I bought white 60″ umbrellas off amazon for pretty cheap! But, almost everything in our wedding is white or black so white made sense for us!

We got a giant black umbrella with a wooden handle and I can tell you it looked great in photos 🙂

We gave the BMS pale blue ones, the GMs black ones, and ours was a giant white one (all of them were very attractive with classic wooden handle). I would say definitely go with white or clear because the light cast underneath them is most flattering. some of the pics with black umbrellS made peoples faces dark.

I’d go with a light color…. white or clear. Remember that the others will reflect light different and make shadows. A red umbrella will probably make you look pink. The right poses and a good photographer can probably elimiate those issues though.

MrsYellowDaffodil:  so I’m not married yet but our photographer carries a huge clear umbrella in case it’s raining and those photos always turn out beautiful!

I’d go with one of your wedding colors.  Or you could pick royal blue for your “something blue.”  🙂

MrsYellowDaffodil:  I actually like white or tan better than clear. But either way, it will be a fun prop!
