If there were an other, I'd actually pick other - why not wear a more saturated purple (instead of lilac) so they still make a statement and still fit in with your color scheme :-)
liemilie- That's a good suggestion, my only qualm is that my FSIL's colors were dark purple, so we're trying to stay away from it. I do like your idea though and I will definitely keep an eye out for some sexy dark purple shoes!
I voted PINK! If only I could push myself for pink ... it doesn't fit my wedding colors ... actually clashes I think ... haha. I want those pink louboutins ..they are my dream pink shoes
I voted for bold and fun - why not? It's your wedding day - have FUN!
Match it to the color of the sash. That way you are fun but things still go together. You don't want things to clash.
Pink! I'm wearing blue shoes and blue is not my one of my colors. Make a statement with your shoes, it will look great!
I voted for the lilac! I think it would be a nice pop of your bridal colors...
Wow! I have to say I'm surprised by the variety of answers! I'm still not sure what to do about this one! Luckily I have some time. So far I have been having a hard time finding pink (reasonably priced) shoes, so who knows, maybe that will make the decision. The reason I'm thinking pink (instead of blue which I also love, or dark purple) is because I am a big supporter of breast cancer research (my grandmother died from it, and my dress is from Brides Against Breast Cancer's charity gown sale), and I think quite a few people would get the pink shoes even if they don't neccessarily match our colors. I'll buy almost anything pink if it's breast cancer related! Don't ask why our colors aren't pink- it's a LONG story! LOL
Thanks so much ladies!
If you want to wear pink, wear pink! Honestly, no one is going to say "whaaaaat? Those shoes don't match her colors!". Rather, they will say "HEY! She's wearing pink shoes! Awesome!" So. Disregard color scheme unless you are totally matchy-matchy!
I voted pink - I think any strong color would look amazing in contrast with the ivory!! plus pink is HOT! lol

Hello ladies!
I am trying to decide what color shoes to wear with my dress. My dress is a an "ivory" color (it's lighter than what I consider "ivory" but definitely not pure white) with a "rum" or "champagne" colored sash (my veil accent and sash match exactly, but one is called rum, and the other champagne) I am trying to decide if I should go with the standard and get shoes to match the dress, or the sash (David's bridal has many types of dyeable shoes to match exactly, or I have found some very close matches at DSW) OR should I be bold and go for bright pink (not baby-pink, but like a fushia pink)??? (A) I'm not sure how the pink will look with my dress, and (B) my colors are lilac and black so pink doesn't really "fit" but I know I won't wear lilac shoes ever again, and I don't want to wear black shoes since I wear them every day. I think the rum/ivory would be the safe choice, but I would also like to make a statement, and I might actually wear the pink ones again. However, I don't want the statement I make to be "I'm the weirdo with the pink shoes" What do you think???
Pink? Rum? Ivory? Lilac?
