My bridesmaids will be wearing a strapless, knee-length navy bridesmaid dress and I have no idea what color shoes they should wear with it... silver? nude? ivory? black? Not sure if it matters, but I will be wearing an ivory dress. Although this will be kind of dark, the guys will be wearing black tuxes (but with a lighter blue to add some lighter color in there). Anyone have any suggestions?

I think silver looks really nice with navy. Do you have another color in your color scheme? A pop of color on the shoes might be pretty, like red, pink, or yellow!

I think silver, nude, or ivory would work. What are your wedding colors? Are you using any accent colors that you would like to bring in?

I like silver and navy together, and also, silver shoes are more re-wearable than white, ivory, or dyed-to-match, which I'm sure the bridesmaids would appreciate.

Hmm looks like the majority is going with silver!

For other accent colors- we are having white and light pink flowers in the ceremony, and white flowers and blue hydranges in the reception.

In the same vein as silver, I LOVE gold with navy - it is so classy.  A lighter blue (to match the tux accents) could also look nice, but light blues would not be nearly as re-wearable as silver or gold.

We had navy bridesmaid dresses & I let them pick whatever they wanted to wear.  Since our accent color was bright pink, a lot of them wore that color.  Others wore red, silver, white - it all looked great!

Any of the colors you listed would work. Or you could throw in a bright color or one of your wedding colors.

I'm wearing a pewter color sandal with my navy dress.  I agree a bright color would look great as well!

If you're okay with color, I would suggest orange or peach! I love the navy/orange combo! Otherwise, silver or even ivory would look nice.

Silver or gold both look awesome with navy =).  Metallic tones usually look good with dark colors like that

I love gold/bronze colors with navy.  it looks classic- almost nautical.  My BMs are also in navy and I suggested gold/bronze shoes or nude shoes.

Nude shoes look good on EVERYBODY! Plus, they make your legs look a ga-billion miles long.

I agree that you should go with a metallic.  I think they look great with navy.

Thanks everyone! I am thinking a metallic would be good (thanks to your suggestions :))! Probably a pewter or silver. I looove the gold and navy look, but I don't think it would quite fit with everything else in the wedding. I always like the way a colored shoe looks in pictures, but I don't want anything to clash... I'm already afraid with the navy and then the lighter blue vests and ties and the white and light pinkish flowers. I think it will look ok overall, I just am going to stay away from anything else that could make me second guess my choices!!

Oh those are cute! Probably out of our price range! I'm looking for pretty decently priced shoes... Light pink shoes would be really cute, but where the heck would i find some!? :)

Not sure. I think these were $80. I would check Macys, Zappos and Target.
