I say go colored or silver! If you're opposed to colored though, I'd say silver. Or wait until the dress comes in, or get a swatch, then get yo'self shoe shopping. :)
I don't think regular white shoes would look bad, only the toes would be seen when they peek out and I don't think it would be a huge contrast. The only way to know though is to try them on w/ the dress!
I have a diamond white dress, but I'm going with aqua shoes with a flower on top.

my dress is diamond white and i bought silver shoes, however when i tried them on with my dress, i started to regret my decision. i saw a post a while ago of someone in a diamond white dress with both an ivory shoe and a white shoe, and the ivory looked a lot better. i'm sticking with my silver shoes because i can't return them, and because like prettyflowers said, you only see the toes peek out. the other thing is that my dress has a lot of sparkly accents, which i thought were more silvery, but that is really where i see the clash with my dress. i think colored shoes would be fun:)
Unless your dress is short, no one will see the shoes. Also, shoes are limited to regular white. Wedding dress designers and paint companies are pretty much the only places you will find multiple names for similar colors (a zillion different names for a single shade of white for example). Even most ivory stuff looks white when placed next to something that is called white. Your guests won't notice at all and at the end of the day, you won't even notice.
I'd say silver/gold or colored depending on what you have picked for your wedding colors. You could always wear a shoe in the same color as the bridesmaids but in a different style.

The dress I ordered is in diamond white satin... what color shoes go with this? I think I don't want to do colored, but does anyone make shoes that come in diamond white? Or am I stuck with regular white or ivory shoes (I'm worried these would look "off" against the dress)? Any ideas?
