My FI has a black pinstripe suit that he loves and wants to wear his black vest and bow tie. We have two groomsmen and are a little non traditional in that we aren’t having a flower girl, but my 14 year old male cousin and his 11 year old sister, will be bringing the rings. The 11 year old girl is in a marine blue dress like the two bridesmaids. The 14 year old boy will be wearing a subtle pinstripe suit that is the same suit as the groomsmen. So my fiance will stand out a with different stripes. I plan on putting the groomsmen and ring bearer in marine blue vests. However, I’m not sure what to do with my father. He has a suit that is black pinstripe and it’s similar to my FI’s suit. The wedding party suits are a more subtle stripe. Should I put my Dad in a marine blue vest like the groomsmen so my FI still stands out with his black vest and bow tie? Will it look weird with 3 slightly different stripe patterns? They’re all a more tonal stripe–no significant colored lines or anything so I think it will still be a cohesive look. Because my Dad’s suit is slightly different, will that make him stand out appropriately as the FOB? Should I have his boutineer be like the best man’s to help signify him as the FOB? Or should he buy the same suit as the rest of the party? We managed to find a nice one at jcpenny for $100, so it’s not crazy expensive.. but I still don’t want to make anyone spend unnecessarily. My FI defintely wants his black vest and bow tie so I don’t want to make him change his one request. Any suggestions?
