I think gold would be very pretty with the red and green all around you. I hope you post pictures when it's all said and done.
Red or Gold would be amazing... I've seen a ton of red wedding dresses but not too many gold so maybe go for a gold dress for a very very unique feel!
What style of dress are you looking to wear?
I think gold would be gorgeous! Go for the gold! (no pun intended....haha)
I really LOVE the thought of a red gown! =) http://www.sotteroandmidgley.com/dress.aspx?page=4&style=JSM1342SK
Thanks for the feedback. Gold would be beautiful wouldn't it?
Anyone else?
i also voted gold after i read the first comment about it looking pretty with all the red and green around you. i agree! also i feel like if you go with red or green for a xmas wedding theme, your dress might look like part of the decor!
Red or gold for sure. I think one of those colors will look more "wedding" while something in green would be more "prom" to me. I think it just may be that I know there are several cultures where a red wedding dress is traditional and gold is just stunning but I think it would be super hard to pull off green without it looking like a prom dress.
Gold would definately be beautiful !! Any dress ideas so far ? I do have to say that I love the dress that CupCakeMeg posted !!
GOLD GOOD LADY GOLD!!! OH you will be like a queen!! Red is stunning, however it ties a lot of tradional themes to it, Green, now, that would be all out DIFFERENT, but to me-different is NEVER bad... If it were me, i'd tackle the first golden goddess dress you see!
Hmm, I'd go with gold or red, whichever flatters your skintone the most. Either could be beautiful! I hope you come back to update us when you do find your unique dress!

Which color do you all like best ? (Hope you dont mind @Ember78 I went a little crazy :P )
Love the pics. No need to apologize at all.
I love all the colors really so it's hard to decide.
@maudemaisha: That green one on top is AWESOME. That burgundy one on bottom reminds me one Stephanie Meyer wore to book signing thing once..and now that image is burned into my mind. Bad author + red dress = bad images of girls in red dresses. Perhaps Im a little ridiculous.
That is a pretty dress but it would never occur to me to associate one with the other (author vs a dress color that has nothing with to do with her outside of one event).
What color do you look best in? Gold looks awful on some people. It can completely was them out. I say get the color and shade you look best in. :)
I really like the idea of gold with red and green as your color scheme. I think it will allow you to stand out and sparkleee
I really really liked that dark green colour on one of the wedding pictures above. I would say go for gold, or dark green. Please post a pic when you choose your gown!
@secondchances, yes you are correct that gold does not work for many people. However I am warm toned so I can wear it with no problem (I love silver but I can't wear it for that exact reason). Being a redhead, I have lots of green in my closet and reds too, even though the fashion experts say to stay away from it, but I have only ever received compliments when wearing it.
As far as the dress design, it's a work in progress because I was intending to design my own. I haven't found a single dress out there that has all the design elements that I want and that look best on me.
I just love the idea of a red gown. It's too bad that Maggie Sottero discountinued the Amara Royale...that one was gorgeous!
I'm having a gold dress but originally wanted a red one. It really depends on what suits you best!

I'm not the type who even owns anything white or pastel so a white dress never occurred to me (plus light colors look bad of me). But I've always been drawn to the tradition of a bold colored dress (which has been around longer than the tradition of a white dress) but not sure what to go with. The colors we are using are deep red, green and gold. The color for the bridesmaid dresses is moot since they will be wearing black (can be worn again later and traditionally festive).
