I finally picked a bridesmaid dress for my ladies…..but now I have no idea what color shoes I should tell them to wear.
I am only going to ask them to please wear a specific color, but I don’t care what style. I’ll be wearing flats, so I can’t hate if they do too haha.
The colors for my wedding are basically everything white with hints of dark purple (basically the dresses, the vests and ties and the napkins on the tables). The banquet hall is going to be completely white with purple accent lighting. (Yeah I didn’t try to hard to elaborate on the colors…. haha)
Anyway here is the picture of their dress, I bought them all a brooch to clip on the drape that is flowing on the picture to add some bling so I’m sending you that picture too.
I was thinking black sandals but I could use some help!
Thank you ladies!!!

MrsPiggles: They will love you if you say black.

Ummmm so they will love me if I say black.

Silver would look lovely with the purple and that brooch.

MrsPiggles: I personally would like a metallic color in the silver to gold family, but black would definitely look fine too and would prevent them from having to buy a pair just for the wedding. Pretty dress choice!
ETA: Also, since the dress is full length you really won’t see the shoes that much — which makes leaning toward a color they likely have (like black) more convenient and helpful to the BMs.

I didn’t even think of silver to be honest, but now that you guys bring it up, it would go great with the brooch and pretty much every woman owns a pair of silver shoes since they’ve been so in style the last year or so.
I like it!
Im glad you guys like the dress, I have a couple of bridesmaids that were not so thrilled, but I have 10, if I try to please everyone, we’ll never get to an agreement!!
any other ideas would be very much appreciated!!!!

I vote for black. They would look classic with the dress, and it would almost surely mean the girls wouldn’t have to purchase a new pair of shoes for the wedding.
A lot of girls still don’t have metallic shoes, but if your girls all do, then that issue is moot – but don’t just assume they have them. I was in a wedding recently where the bride insisted that we where a certain color of metallic shoes and was just *shocked* that not.a.single.bridesmaid owned shoes like that. Every single one of had to buy a brand new pair of shoes (that we will never wear again) and we weren’t thrilled.
Since the dress is long, no one will see the shoes anyway, so I really wouldn’t stress about it.
