I am still at a loss as to what colors to use for our vow renewal. Our theme is seashells/starfish. The ceremony and reception will be held on a yacht. Date is not yet set but it will be a summer time vow renewal in the late morning or early afternoon. This is what the dining room and ceremony area look like:
I’ve gone through a ton of color schemes in my head: red and navy, yellow and navy, purple and navy, pink and navy, blue and green ( like sea glass). Nothing seems right to me for some reason. I feel like red and navy is too obvious as is yellow and navy. My wife wants orange, navy and white but I worry it will feel too fallish because of the orange and will not work well with the seashell theme.
So, what colors do you think would look good for this venue and our theme? I’m open to all suggestions so I can stop driving everyone crazy with this!

i like blue and green,
i had a beach wedding with seashell/starfish theme
my colors where ( ivory/tifany blue/silver)
you can allways mixed 2 or 2 colors, 1 has to be lighter than the other two.

I say tan and ocean/light blue tan would go well with the starfish and sea water theme here is a pic of a cake that shows the color

LOVE Tiffany Blue with anything beacy / summery…looks great with shades of tan and brown also 🙂

I’m a Cavalier, so I love the idea of Orange, Blue, and White. I actually think it sounds pretty and not at all fallish because there’s no brown or rust shades.

If you’re going more nautical, than dark blue and white…love!

how about instead of a fall-ish “orange” you do a coral or more tropical version? many seashells definitely have a peachy sandy color to them.
these are some good inspiration photos:
hope that helps!
