So This is the first year I am doing my very own tree 🙂 I grew up where my family’s tree was bizarre with all the homeade ornaments and nothing matched. 🙂 I mean I love it but I want mine to be very matchy and sophisticated looking!
So I either am doing Blue & Silver OR Red & Gold. Which would be better? Or does anyone have any alternative suggestions I might love?? 🙂

I love red and gold, myself!
You should add a poll!

@TuckersGirl: I would vote Red & Gold. Blue & Silver to me are more Hanukkah colors than Christmas colors.

I prefer red and gold, personally. It’s warmer. But my favorite Christmas tree look will always be the non-matchy, doused-in-ornaments-and-fifty-strands-of-colorful-lights look!

i am a fan of the all white lights and silver ornaments look…. fi on the other hand loves the colored lights, candy canes, and homemade ornaments look lol…. i vote blue and silver 🙂

I use blue and silver! But my BF is Jewish, so I call it our Chrismakkuh tree.
Ignore how small it is! I live in a really small apartment!

I also love red & gold, thats my tree! Red & Gold equals warmth and cozy, which is what I love about Christmas trees.
Going more silver/white/ blue is not so much warm, but more of a “cool, crisp” look. Not as warm as the red/gold would be.

Red and gold would be so pretty!
Can I just tell you that our Christmas tree is red, green and silver? We have a few different colored ornaments here and there, but the actual balls are red, green or silver!

@Boston Bee: Your tree is adorable!!! 🙂

i have tons of different store bought ornaments in different glittery colors. I love white lights but colorful/shiny/glittery ornaments and tree picks 🙂

I voted for red and gold too but I also think a blue and silver while not so ‘warm’ definitely comes across to me as winter..which I love. I don’t think you can go wrong either way.

I voted blue/silver. Here’s mine!
Red/gold is also pretty, but the blue/silver combination is more unique and sophisticated, I think. My FI is OBSESSED with it, he loves it! Haha.

Ours is totally mismatch with colored lights. Growing up my family had the same thing-except with home made ornaments made with macaroni on full size sheets of paper. My mom still puts up every single one and her youngest is 20 years old 🙂
But I vote blue and silver

@R.Elliott: Ooohhh I love it!!!! 🙂

I vote blue and silver because it’s so wintery. Our tree is a combination of your options. It is turquoise and red with gold ribbon.
