I'm thinking of going with pale ivory/cream. Does anyone have any brand suggestions?
Essie has some very pretty shades!
I think I am going to go with the classic light pink, most likely Ballet Shoes by Essie.
I'll be doing RED! I was going to use OPI's La Beau, but now (I found the funds available if you saw one of my previous threads) I'm getting the Shellac nails done. My nails chip ridiculously fast and I don't want to be concerned about chips. However, I will still be doing a red nail.
I hadn't ever used OPI before but I loved all of their colors! I went with OPI's Not so Bora Bora-ing Pink. This pink looked better against my fair skin tone than pale pink.

I want to go with black, but FI hates that darks so probably just a natural French manicure
a la this:

@Oneeleven: I will be going black and so will all of my bridesmaids :) its kind of our thang!
I really really like the China Glaze line... If you are going for a pale pink you should try 'Love Letters', instead of looking like a color it just looks like a healthier verson of your own nails :)
I have been trying out all different light shades, but so far I haven't found the *perfect* one. OPI Bubble Bath, is too close to my skin color and I want it just a little bit more evident. I think I may layer it with a more opaque light pink underneath and try that. I've also tried Essie Mademoiselle and Ballet Slippers. I bought Essie Fiji a couple weeks ago, but it's too white looking and stark for the wedding I think.
Any other suggestions? I'm looking for a creme finish...nothing with shimmer.
I believe I'll be doing "Fanatical Fuchsia" - The barnd: Nicole by OPI. That brand of polish, along with the top coat, lasts forever! LOVE IT!
Love Essie...I'll probably go with gel nails to minimize chipping. My current manicure has lasted 2.5 weeks.
Here's my latest fave, hard to tell the color but it's a subtle, sparkly pink. I'm holding a magazine to fake a bouquet, hahaha!

I'm going to go for clear on hand nails but wanted this colour for my toe nails, but found out a couple a few weeks ago, they don't do it anymore. :(

i am still not set on a color yet.. i love all the Essie ones. Chanel has a few im depating on as well!! something pale..
@Prewitt: Look on Ebay - they have a lot of discontinued shades!
I used OPI 'I'll Take the Cake' It is a semi-sheer shimmery pink! I especially liked that it was pretty light because it looked nice for the whole honeymoon.
I am wearing a pale pink color called Seashell. It came from Sally Beauty Supply. I was tempted to go more bold since I wear much brighter colors on a daily basis, but I didn't want it to look dated in pictures years from now.
I recommend Essie. They even have a "Brides" gift set of four pretty colors.
Great digit ideas, ladies!
I'm doing a "moon manicure" but with Sally Hansen's "Wet Cement" (light grey) instead of black
@HappyHW: Just looked on ebay and would you believe it's going to cost £40! I mean for a nail varnish. If it was that popular why can't they manufacture it again. Damn make-up companies.
I was going to go with the french manicure but then my mother reminded me that it would be hard to touch up if any of the paint chipped off. I'm leaning towards a light pink/peachy color. I'm going to test out a variety of colors in my next few manicures so that I can really get a good idea of what will look good.
@tee22: It's "Ballet Slipper" ... it's awesome awesome awesome!
I want this one for toes( by wedding color is blue), havent decided about fingers yet want to stay away from french unless u get gels
@vanillabean my mom and I have been rocking moon manis for about 2 months now. Great choice; they are so fun!!
I went with a simple french set. I'm sure if I went with my natural nails they wouldv'e been chipped up to wazoo before the ceremony! I'm waayyy rough on my nails.
I'm totally having this dilemma as well. I usually either wear Ballet Slipper by Essie or red, but I don't know if red will match my color scheme.
I haven't really thought of this. Usually when I get manicures I just pick it out when I get there but I supposed I'm going to need it for touch ups! Looks like I'm going to Sephora soon for some fancy nail polish!
I'm doing a pale pink french mani & the same pink as an all over color on my toes.
